Getting Wood
Punch a tree until a block of wood pops out
This achievement requires you to hold down the attack button while facing a block of wood until it breaks, then walk over it to pick it up.
Wood blocks are found on trees, which are very easy to find in most biomes, excluding the ocean, desert or badlands biomes.
Logs can also be found in swamp huts, villages, pillager outposts, and woodland mansions.
Benchmaking
Craft a Crafting Table with four blocks of wooden planks
Get a crafting table in your inventory to obtain this achievement. First, hold down attack on a log until it breaks, then collect the dropped block by walking over it. Logs are part of trees, which are very easy to find (as long as you didn't start out in a biome like ocean or desert). Just look around when you spawn.
Then, open your inventory. You will see a 2×2 grid near the top right-hand corner; place your wood log in any of the slots. Click on the planks that appear to obtain them.
If you turned on a bonus chest when you created your world, there is a good chance that it contains logs, planks, or both. If you have these, you probably won't need to get any wood to create a crafting table.
Finally, put one of the four planks you got into each container of your grid (a 2×2 square of planks). You can use to place a single plank into the grid, instead of all four.
Alternatively, use the recipe book and click the crafting table to craft it.
Once you have the crafting table in your inventory, you will get the achievement.
Time to Mine!
Use planks and sticks to make a pickaxe
First, place your crafting table on the ground by holding the crafting table in your hand and use the ground. Follow the crafting recipe below to make sticks (note that this can also be done in the 2×2 crafting grid in your inventory):
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks |
Alternatively, use the recipe book and click the stick to craft it.
Now arrange sticks and some planks in the crafting table to make a wooden pickaxe, or use the recipe book. You may need to get more wood in order to have enough to make a wooden pickaxe.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks + Stick |
Once you have the wooden pickaxe in your inventory, you will get the achievement.
Hot Topic
Construct a furnace out of eight cobblestone blocks
Find stone, and mine 8 of it with your wooden pickaxe to get cobblestone (stone becomes cobblestone if you mine it with a normal pickaxe, without the Silk Touch enchantment). Exposed stone can be found on the sides of hills and in ravines/caves. If you find a cave or ravine, be wary of any hostile mobs (such as zombies and skeletons) that might be inside.
If you are in the Nether or below Y=8, you can also mine blackstone or deepslate to craft a furnace, although the chances of you getting to the Nether or finding a deepslate blob without picking up any cobblestone are very slim. Blackstone is commonly found in the basalt deltas biome. You may also find blackstone in other biomes near the lava sea.
Then craft a furnace with the crafting recipe below, or with the recipe book.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any stone-tier block |
Once you have the furnace in your inventory, you will get the achievement.
Acquire Hardware
Smelt an iron ingot
The intended method for getting iron ingots is to find iron ore. It generates at almost any height in the Overworld, except layers 73 to 79; it is most common at Y=16, but it can also be easily found in mountains if they are nearby. The two main ways to find iron ore are to find it in a cave, or to find it in an exposed stone surface either on the ground or in the side of a hill/mountain. Because caves often have monsters in them, they are not recommended to go into until you have some armor and weapons, so finding an exposed surface in the ground with iron in it is much safer. If there are no caves or exposed stone surfaces near you, you could start a mineshaft. If you are feeling very daring and adventurous, make a stone sword and a few torches, and search a cave. You can usually find iron in caves very quickly, because walls of caves expose a lot of blocks.
Once you find iron ore, mine it with your stone pickaxe (don't mine it with a wooden pickaxe, it won't drop anything). You will get one raw iron (unless you mined it with the Silk Touch enchantment, in which case it drops an iron ore). Put the raw iron or iron ore in a furnace along with a fuel source, such as planks or coal. After 10 seconds, it yields an iron ingot.
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Raw Iron or Iron Ore + Any fuel |
If you are lucky, you can find iron ingots in chests in village blacksmiths, armorer's house or toolsmith's house; desert temples, dungeons, mineshafts, jungle pyramids, shipwrecks, buried treasures, pillager outposts, woodland mansions, strongholds, trial chambers, nether fortresses, bastions and end cities.
Iron nuggets can also spawn in chests in ruined portals, bastions, shipwrecks, and village taiga houses. If you have 9 iron nuggets, you can turn them into 1 iron ingot.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Nugget |
Iron golems can spawn in villages and pillager outposts. When killed, the golem drops 3-5 iron ingots. Note that an iron golem on any difficulty beyond Peaceful fight back if you try to kill it, and it deals lots of damage, so this method is not recommended for inexperienced players.
Zombies, husks and zombie villagers also have a small chance to drop 1 iron ingot. Iron nuggets also can be obtained by smelting iron tools, swords, armor, horse armor, or chainmail armor, and by bartering.
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Sword or Any iron tools or Any iron armor or Any chainmail armor or Iron Horse Armor + Any fuel |
You will get the achievement once you transfer the iron ingot to your inventory. Iron ingots can further be made into many useful tools, weapons, and armor.
Time to Farm!
Make a Hoe
Wooden hoes are crafted with 2 sticks and 2 planks. Put them in the crafting grid of a crafting table like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks + Stick |
Once you have the wooden hoe in your inventory, you will get the achievement
Bake Bread
Turn wheat into bread
Break several blocks of short grass until you gain three wheat seeds. You can do this with one seed but it will take longer.
Then use your hoe on three dirt, podzol, or grass blocks to create farmland near water.
Next, hold the seeds, and place them on all the farmland blocks. Wait for 1-3 in-game days for the seeds to grow into wheat. Alternately, using bone meal on the seeds will cause it to grow into wheat faster.
After that, break the wheat.
A faster way to obtain wheat is from villages, which are often generated with wheat. Wheat can also be obtained from several loot chest, often in villages.
Arrange the wheat like so to craft bread, or use the recipe book.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Wheat |
The Lie!
Bake a cake using: wheat, sugar, milk, and eggs
This achievement's name is a reference to the video game Portal which spawned the meme phrase "The Cake Is A Lie".
Collect the following:
- 1 egg (can be obtained from chicken)
- 3 milk buckets (milk a cow using a bucket by using)
- 2 sugar (from sugar cane)
- 3 wheat
Collect 9 iron ingots by mining or find them in loot chests. Put them in the crafting grid of a crafting table like so or use the recipe book to craft 3 buckets.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot |
Buckets can also be found in some loot chests.
Find a cow, which are often spawning in middle biomes like the plains or the forest, or in villages. Use 3 buckets on the cow to turn them into milk buckets.
Next, find a chicken, spawning in the same biomes as cows, and wait for it to lay an egg.
The easiest way to get sugar is by collecting 2 sugar cane, which can be found near water, and use it to craft sugar:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Sugar Cane |
Alternatively, you can collect a honey bottle by using a glass bottle on a bee nest (place a campfire under the nest to prevent the bees from attacking) and craft it into sugar:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Honey Bottle |
Sugar can also be dropped by witches, but they might be hard to fight.
Collect 3 wheat by growing wheat seeds on farmland, or collect it from villages.
Arrange the ingredients like so to craft cake:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Milk Bucket + Sugar + Egg + Wheat |
Getting an Upgrade
Construct a better pickaxe
Use your new wooden pickaxe to mine some stone, which in return you will receive cobblestone. Make sure that you have 2 sticks in your inventory.
Use your wooden pickaxe, mine three stone blocks so you have three cobblestone blocks (again, as in Hot Topic, you can use cobbled deepslate or blackstone for this).
Now arrange your sticks and cobblestone/blackstone/deepslate blocks in the crafting table to make a stone pickaxe:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any stone-tier block + Stick |
Delicious Fish
Catch and cook a fish!
The easiest way to catch a fish is by swimming underwater and using a sword or your fist to attack the salmon/cod.
Alternatively, you can use a fishing rod. Collect 2 string by killing spiders or cats, or by destroying cobwebs. You can craft it like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Stick + String |
You can also find these in ocean ruins chests, from a drowned drop, or buy from a Fisherman villager.
Now find a body of water and throw the bobber in the water (use the rod for that). Bubbles will appear next to the bobber. Once the bobber dips in the water, quickly reel it in. To get the achievement, you need to catch a fish, not treasure/junk items. If you didn't get a fish, try again. More information can be found on the fishing page.
Finally, put the cod or salmon you got in the furnace with fuel like so:
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Raw Cod or Raw Salmon + Any fuel |
On a Rail
Travel by minecart to a point at least 500m in a single direction from where you started
It will take at least 192 iron ingots as well as 32 sticks to craft enough rails (512 or 8 stacks). Iron farms or iron veins are fast recources of iron. Craft rails like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot + Stick |
Alternatively, you can find and break them in mineshafts or woodland mansions. Then, build a continuous track so that a minecart can travel the full distance. Place the rails in relatively flat terrain and try to avoid rivers or oceans. Place some building blocks to cross water or waterlog the rails (not recommended because of the risk of drowning), and destroy or place blocks to cross steep hills.
To speed up the track and to pass hills, replace some rails with powered rails powered by a redstone torch. Craft powered rails with gold ingots and redstone dust, which can be mined most commonly below deepslate level, or farmed.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Gold Ingot + Stick + Redstone Dust |
Craft for each powered rail a redstone torch:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Redstone Dust + Stick |
Craft a minecart like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot |
Afterward, place the minecart on the start of the track, then travel from the start to the end without leaving the minecart. The achievement does not allow you to repeatedly loop the same section of the track.
You can also make a gradual decline from a great height to use gravity instead of powered rails.
Time to Strike!
Use planks and sticks to make a sword
Make sure that you have one stick and two wooden planks in your inventory. Better materials (cobblestone, iron ingots, gold ingots, and diamonds) for the blade work for this achievement too.
Use the crafting recipe below or use the recipe book to craft the sword.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks + Stick |
Monster Hunter
Attack and destroy a monster
There are 37 mobs that count, here is a complete list:
Blaze
Bogged
Breeze
Cave Spider
Creaking
Creeper
Drowned
Elder Guardian
Ender Dragon
Enderman
Endermite
Evoker
Ghast
Guardian
Hoglin

Ravager
Shulker
Silverfish
Skeleton
Slime
Spider
Stray
Vex
Vindicator
Witch
Wither
Wither Skeleton
Zoglin
Zombie
Zombified Piglin
Zombie Villager
Note that killing wardens, despite them being hostile monsters, can't trigger this achievement.
You can use any type of item or your bare hands to kill the monster, but it is recommended to have a weapon (like a bow, sword or axe) to decrease your chances of being killed yourself. It is also recommended to earn this advancement on a common, easy-to-kill monster, like a zombie or spider.
To kill a creaking, you have to hit it, follow the particles into a pale oak, and break the creaking heart.
Cow Tipper
Harvest some leather
Find a cow, mooshroom, horse, donkey, or llama. Cows can appear at any place with grass blocks and enough light, unless it is an ocean biome. Horses and Donkeys can only spawn in a plains and savanna biome. Red mooshrooms only spawn in mushroom fields biome. Llamas only spawn in mountains and savanna biomes. You may have to wander a bit to find one, so make sure you'll be able to find your way back.
Then when you find one, stand next to it and left-click to hit it. You will need to hit it a lot to kill it with your fist, so a bow, axe or sword is recommended to kill it fast. They can drop one or two leather (cows along with raw beef). If you did not get any, try the same with another cow, mooshroom, horse, donkey, or llama.
Another way to obtain the achievement is to find and kill some rabbits until you have 4 rabbit hides. Then craft leather with the crafting recipe below and throw it on the ground. When you pick it up, you'll get the achievement.
When Pigs Fly
Use a saddle to ride a pig, and then have the pig get hurt from fall damage while riding it
Get a saddle and a carrot on a stick. Saddles can be found in several loot chests, and it can be obtained by trading with a max-level leatherworker. A carrot on a stick can be crafted with a carrot and a fishing rod.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Fishing Rod or Damaged Fishing Rod + Carrot |
The fishing rod must be diagonally above the carrot to craft the carrot on a stick. |
Use the saddle on a pig, which should be near a cliff. The easiest way to get it to jump off a cliff is to hold a carrot on a stick in your hand and walk, like you normally would, in the direction of the cliff until you and the pig fall.
Alternatively, you can put the pig on a piston, trapdoor, fence gate, or any kind of opening mechanism. Then ride the pig up there and open the mechanism so you and the pig will take fall damage.
Sniper Duel
Kill a skeleton with an arrow from more than 50 meters
Kill a skeleton with an arrow that is shot from at least 50 blocks away horizontally. The best way to do this is to first trap a skeleton in a smallest possible area using fences, so that you don't have to deal with a moving target. Also, make sure that it is nighttime, so that the skeleton doesn't burn. Alternatively, if the skeleton has a helmet on or a block above its head, it also doesn't burn in the daylight; however, its helmet will eventually break from the daylight. To ensure that the skeleton doesn't despawn, put a name tag on it.
Then back away at least 50 blocks from the skeleton, horizontally—you can turn on coordinates in the world settings to see your coordinates in the world. From that point shoot at about a 45 degree angle toward the skeleton. You can also reduce your FOV to aim better. It may take many tries to shoot correctly. You will get the advancement once the skeleton is killed by the projectile.
To weaken the skeleton and kill it in one hit with your projectile, you can hit it with another weapon for a certain number of times. You will get the advancement as long as when the skeleton is killed and it was hit by your arrow at last. If you have an iron sword, diamond sword, netherite sword, or any type of axe (except netherite), you can hit the skeleton twice with that weapon before shooting the skeleton with a fully charged arrow in one hit. If you have a wooden, stone, or gold sword, hit the skeleton three times with that weapon before shooting the skeleton. A bow enchanted with Power IV or V can kill a full health skeleton in one hit.
DIAMONDS!
Acquire diamonds with your iron tools
You can either find a diamond ore underground, or look in various loot chests to find diamonds directly.
Diamond ores are very rare, but by either branch mining deep down in the world or exploring caves that go very low, you will eventually find one. Diamond ore generates below level 15, most commonly around Y=-58. Mine it with your iron pickaxe, and collect the dropped diamond.
Diamonds can also spawn in village (blacksmiths, toolsmith's houses), shipwrecks, desert temples, jungle pyramids, mineshafts, trial chambers, buried treasures and end cities. Blocks of diamond can also rarely generate in woodland mansions, or in chests and ominous vaults in trial chambers, which you can turn into 9 diamonds.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Block of Diamond |
You can also use a brush to excavate diamonds out of some blocks of suspicious sand that spawns in desert temples.
Into the Nether
Construct a Nether Portal
You need to build a nether portal, or find a ruined portal and fix it. To make a portal, you need at least 10 blocks of obsidian. These can be placed directly, or casting it in place using lava and water. Make your portal like so (build it upright, or else it will not work) - question marks can be any block, including air:
If you find a ruined portal, you don't need to build an entire portal frame on your own, just to fix it up. Depending on how broken (and large) the ruined portal is, it might be easier or harder to fix it than to make your own. In order to fix a ruined portal, you need to mine any crying obsidian in the portal (except for the corners, because these don't count); a diamond pickaxe works best for that. Then complete the portal by placing regular obsidian in the gaps. There is a chest near the portal that may contain some obsidian to help you with this, but it's likely that you will have to get some on your own anyway. The chest also may contain a fire charge or flint and steel, which can light the portal, even if you can't fix the ruined portal and decide to make your own.
Now you need a way to light the portal to activate it. This could be a flint and steel or a fire charge. If you don't have either of these, you need to get an iron ingot and a piece of flint and place these anywhere in your 2×2 crafting grid to make a flint and steel.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot + Flint |
Flint has a 10% chance to drop when mining gravel without Silk Touch. It can also generate in villages (fletcher's house) and ruined portal chests. Light your portal by using the flint and steel or fire charge on the top surface of one of the bottom obsidian blocks. You can also light the nether portal by placing lava next to flammable blocks, or through a lightning strike. (Note that for those methods to work, a fire block must appear inside of the frame). If the portal doesn't light up, make sure that it is complete and the correct size, does not contain any crying obsidian (only regular obsidian), and does not have blocks inside the frame, then try again. Your portal should now look like this:
Once you stand inside the portal for 4 seconds, you will be teleported to the Nether and get the achievement. If you are not prepared to go into the Nether, go back to the Overworld the moment you set foot in the Nether. To return, step out of the portal and step back in again.
Return to Sender
Destroy a Ghast with a fireball
Ghasts spawn in three Nether biomes: soul sand valley, basalt deltas and nether wastes. When a ghast shoots a fireball at you, wait until it comes close, and then attack the fireball to send it flying back to the ghast. The reflected fireball goes roughly in the direction your crosshair is pointing in, so you can aim at the position where the ghast is about to fly to.
To reflect the fireball without endangering yourself too much, you should face the fireball, stand slightly to the side, and start spam-clicking the attack button as the fireball comes close. The fireball can be attacked slightly outside its hitbox, so even if you fail to hit the fireball, it flies past you without dealing damage. The spam-clicking is beneficial because the time window to hit the fireball is very short.
The above method is, however, very dangerous for unskilled players. A safer method is to shoot a projectile, such as an arrow or a snowball, at the fireball. When hit with a projectile, the fireball moves in the direction that the player is facing, and this can be used to more accurately aim the projectile at the ghast.
Into Fire
Relieve a Blaze of its rod
The only way to get a blaze rod is to kill a blaze, another mob that spawns only in nether fortresses. Blaze by default has a 50% chance to drop a blaze rod when killed by the player or by a tamed wolf. Looting enchantment increases the amount of rods that the blaze can drop, up to 4 rods from one kill if you use a sword with Looting III.
Be warned that blazes are very dangerous enemies, dealing both melee damage and projectile damage, in addition to lighting the target on fire—which is especially deadly in the Nether, where you can't put yourself out with a water bucket! Getting at least few potions of Fire Resistance from bartering with piglins is recommended. For tips on how to deal with blazes and other fortress inhabitants, check out Tutorial:Defeating a Nether fortress.
Local Brewery
Brew a potion
You need a brewing stand, which can be crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Blaze Rod + Any stone-tier block |
Brewing stands can also be found in villages (in churches), igloos (with basement) and end ships.
In the inside of a brewing stand, there are three slots on the bottom with the outline of a glass bottle, and another slot on top, which is for the actual potion ingredient. There is also a slot in the top left with the outline of blaze powder.
Get a water bottle, place it in one of the 3 lower brewing stand's slots, then put blaze powder in the fuel slot. Then put a potion ingredient in it (easily findable ingredients are spider eyes and redstone dust, and wait until it is done brewing, and collect the potion. If you don't have glass bottle, you can craft it using glass. To create glass, smelt sand:
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Sand + Any fuel |
Next, craft a glass bottle:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Glass |
Then fill the glass bottle with water, to turn it into a water bottle.
The End?
Enter an End Portal.
Jump into an activated end portal. These are found in end portal rooms in strongholds. Strongholds can be found by using eyes of ender, which are crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Blaze Powder + Ender Pearl |
Ender pearls can be obtained by killing endermen, bartering, trading with expert-level cleric villagers, or can be found in the "fake end portal" rooms of woodland mansions (but note that the chest here is trapped and triggers TNT if opened!), as well as barrels in trial chambers. A very feasible way to obtain ender pearls in early game is to find a
warped forest biome in the Nether, and kill as many endermen there as possible.
Blaze powder is crafted from blaze rods, which only drop from blazes (more info about that under the Into Fire achievement).
Although the player needs at most 12 eyes of ender to activate the end portal, a few additional ones are usually needed to find a stronghold. Around 16 eyes of ender in most cases should be enough for finding the portal and opening it, given that the player doesn't throw the eyes too often and lose too many of them before reaching the stronghold.
While being anywhere in Overworld (preferably on the surface), use to throw eyes of ender up in the air. Follow the direction in which they go. At some point, eyes go down into the ground instead of up in the air. Dig in that spot, until you reach stone bricks, which is the beginning of the stronghold.
For more tips on finding the stronghold, see this part of the tutorial on defeating the ender dragon.
Find the portal room in the stronghold, and fill all end portal frames with the eyes of ender to activate the portal. Step in the portal and you will get the achievement
Make sure you are prepared before going to the End, because the only way out is to either defeat the ender dragon, or die in the attempt to do so. See this tutorial for more help. In Hardcore mode, you must beat the ender dragon to go back, since you cannot respawn.
The End
Kill the Enderdragon
Kill the ender dragon to activate the exit portal. See this tutorial on how to kill the ender dragon for a proper guide.
When the ender dragon is killed, the exit portal will fill up with end portal blocks that teleport the player back to their spawn point in the Overworld. Step into this portal to get the achievement. Then, enjoy the end poem (you can press Esc or to skip the credits).
Enchanter
Construct an Enchantment Table
An enchantment table is crafted with 4 obsidian, 2 diamonds, and a book.
There are a few methods of obtaining books. You can craft them from leather and paper. Leather drops from cows, mooshrooms, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, trader llamas, hoglins, and some foxes (a fox can sometimes spawn holding a leather, which always drops upon death). It can also be obtained by fishing, bartering, or by crafting from 4 rabbit hide.
Sugar cane generates naturally near bodies of water—oceans, rivers or lakes. Paper can also generate in villages (cartographer's house), shipwrecks, and stronghold libraries. When you have enough materials, you can make a book.
| Name | Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Paper | Sugar Cane | |
| Book | Paper + Leather |
A bookshelf drops 3 books if broken without using Silk Touch. Bookshelves generate as a block in village library houses, woodland mansions, and stronghold libraries. Book can also be obtained by disenchanting an enchanted book at a grindstone. Finally, books can generate in village plains and desert houses, shipwrecks, stronghold libraries and ancient cities.
Collect obsidian from various loot chests, or mine it with a diamond pickaxe. Collect diamonds by mining diamond ore with an iron pickaxe or better, or find them in loot chests.
Arrange the ingredients like so to craft an enchantment table:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Book + Diamond + Obsidian |
Overkill
Deal nine hearts of damage in a single hit
Enchant a sword with Bane of Arthropods, Smite, or Sharpness with a level high enough to deal together with the sword's base damage at least 18HP × 9 in one hit to a mob or player. Alternatively, enchant a trident with Impaling. Potions of strength will count as increased damage so strength will make this achievement easier. The netherite sword is the easiest.
Librarian
Build some bookshelves to improve your enchantment table
Make sure you have 6 planks and 3 books in your inventory,
Arrange the ingredients like so to craft a bookshelf:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks + Book |

The Beginning?
Spawn the Wither
To spawn the wither, place 4 blocks of soul sand or soul soil in a T shape, in any direction, and place 3 wither skeleton skulls on the line of 3 soul sand/soul soil. Two blocks under the "arms" must be air blocks. Soul sand or soul soil can be acquired easily in a soul sand valley biome in the Nether. Wither skeleton skulls are rare drops from wither skeletons, wich spawn in nether fortresses.
The wither will immediately spawn—at this point, as long as you're within a 100.9×100.9×103.5 area, you will get the advancement. Wither cannot deal any damage nor be done any harm for 10 seconds, until it explodes. The explosion is very violent, so you should probably back away.
It is not recommended to summon the wither without preparation. For more information on the wither, what to expect, what to prepare, and how to fight it, see the pages "Wither" and "Tutorial:Defeating the wither".
The Beginning.
Kill the Wither
Visit this tutorial for an extensive description on killing the wither.
The Beaconator
Create and fully power a Beacon
Craft a beacon with the crafting recipe below. You must have killed the wither before to get a nether star.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Glass + Nether Star + Obsidian |
To get the achievement, the beacon must be powered by a full-size level 4 piramid. This needs 164 blocks of iron, gold, emerald, diamond or netherite. Iron can easily be farmed, so iron is the fastest way to get this achievement. Place the blocks of iron on the ground in a 9×9 square. Place another layer on top of that in a 7×7 square, and another on top of that in a 5×5 square. Finally, your top layer should be 3×3, and you can place a beacon on top of this. Once the beacon shoots its beam to the sky, you will get the achievement.
Repopulation

To get this achievement, you have to be in a multiplayer world. Find another player and throw a diamond. Once the player has picked up the diamond, you will get the achievement.
Overpowered
Eat an Enchanted Apple
The enchanted golden apple is one of the rarest items in the game. You can find them in desert pyramids, monster rooms, mineshafts, bastion remnants, ruined portals, or woodland mansions, but they have the highest chance of spawning in an ancient city. Eat it to get the achievement.
MOAR Tools
Construct one type of each tool
This achievement is fairly simple. Collect 4 logs and then turn them all into planks. Use 4 of the planks to craft 8 sticks. Lastly, use the remaining planks and sticks to craft a wooden pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe. You should have 3 planks left over.

Dispense With This
Construct a Dispenser
To craft a dispenser, you will need 8 cobblestone, 1 redstone dust and 1 bow. These ingredients can be found easily:
- Mine 7 pieces of stone to collect cobblestone.
- Find a skeleton at night or in a cave, and kill it to get a bow. Not every skeleton drops a bow, so you may need to kill multiple of them.
- Mine redstone ore in deeper caves (redstone ore generates only below y=16), or kill a witch.
Use the bow, cobblestone, and redstone to craft a dispenser, like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Cobblestone + Bow + Redstone Dust |
Leader of the Pack
Befriend five wolves
Forest
Taiga
Old growth pine taiga
Old Growth Spruce Taiga
Snowy taiga
Sparse Jungle
Grove
Savanna Plateau
Wooded Badlands
In the savanna plateau and wooded badlands, wolves spawn in packs of 4-8, so these biomes are the fastest to get the achievement. Make sure you have enough bones with you (30 must be enough), in case the wolves take more before they are tamed. Tame five wolves with the bones and you get the achievement.
Pork Chop
Cook and eat a pork chop
You are going to need some raw porkchop to earn this achievement, so kill a pig or a hoglin until you get at least a porkchop. You also need a furnace (or a smoker or a campfire). Mine 8 cobblestone and craft a furnace (and you can use the furnace and 4 stripped logs for a smoker, or instead 3 logs, 3 sticks and one charcoal to make a campfire) on your crafting table. Use some fuel to power the furnace (or smoker, if you use a campfire just right click the campfire with the pork) and put the pork in the top slot.
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Raw Porkchop + Any fuel |
A faster way to get cooked porkchop is by killing a pig with a fire aspect sword, a flame bow or by burning it with a flint and steel.
After eating the cooked porkchop, the achievement is awarded to you!
Passing the Time
Play for 100 days
Play for 100 Minecraft days, which is equal to 33 hours and 20 minutes in real time. This can be achieved by being afk for 33 hours in an afk pool, but it is not very hard to just play a world for this time. Half of the time can be skipped by sleeping in a bed. You can turn on the switch 'Show days played' in the world settings to see how many days you have played so far.
The Haggler
Acquire or spend 30 emeralds by trading with villagers or with wandering trader
Find a village, if you see a farm and farmer villager, see what their trades are, you can sell wheat, potato, carrot, or beetroot depending on what the farmer offers. You may need an extra farm if you cannot find these crops already growing in the village. You can easily get a ton of emeralds using this method, up to 12 per day for each farmer villager. Expanding the farm will speed this up. You can also trade with a butcher villager for 7 raw porkchops for an emerald.
Pot Planter
Craft and place a Flower Pot
This achievement has several steps:
- Mine a clay block. Clay blocks generate under water of rivers and lakes.
- Smelt 3 clay balls into 3 bricks in furnace.

It's a Sign!
Craft and place an Oak Sign
You need a stick and 6 oak planks, easily obtainable by collecting 2 logs. Then craft a sign and place it.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Oak Planks + Stick |
Iron Belly
Stop starvation using Rotten Flesh
You need to deplete your hunger bar to zero (empty), then eat rotten flesh. Hunger bar can easily be depleted by sprinting while jumping at only 2 blocks high while having the hunger effect. Rotten flesh can be found in chests in some generated structures, by killing zombies and their variants, or by fishing. If you have a tamed cat which you leave standing while you sleep, the cat can also bring you a gift of rotten flesh. It is recommended to eat better food afterward (like steak), to regenerate and refill the hunger bar.
Have a Shearful Day
Use Shears to obtain wool from a sheep
Craft a shears with 2 iron ingots:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot |
Use the shears on a sheep (found in most middle biomes like plains) to get the achievement.
Rainbow Collection
Gather all 16 colors of wool
An easy way to do this is by getting 16 white wool by shearing white sheep. Collect 15 dye to craft the different colors of wool. This is an easy way to get all dyes:
- Azure bluets can be used to craft light gray dye.
- Kill a squid an craft black dye with the ink sac.
- Craft bone meal with a bone (obtainable by killing skeletons) and craft that into white dye. Combine it with black dye to get gray dye.
- Collect cocoa beans from a jungle biome and craft it into brown dye.
- Find a poppy and craft it into red dye.
- Find a dandelion and craft it into yellow dye.
- Use yellow dye and red dye to craft orange dye.
- Collect a cactus from a desert biome and smelt it into green dye:
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Cactus + Any fuel |
- Use a green dye and a white dye to craft lime green dye.
- Find a cornflower to craft blue dye.
- Use a blue dye and a white dye to craft light blue dye.
- Use a blue dye and a green dye to craft cyan dye.
- Use a blue dye and a red dye to craft purple dye.
- Find an allium to craft magenta dye.
- Use a red dye and a white dye to craft pink dye.
Combine each dye with a white wool to get all the different wool. You can also dye sheep to make it easily renewable.
Other ways to get colored wool is by buying colored wool from shepherd villager or finding in woodland mansion.
You could get white, brown, black, gray, light gray, and pink wool from natural sheep without dying the wool, but it could be hard to find these sheep.
Stayin' Frosty
Swim in lava while having the Fire Resistance effect
First, you need to get the Fire Resistance effect from a potion of Fire Resistance. You can brew this potion or get it from bartering with piglins. If you have enough gold, the latter option is the easiest. Find a piglin in the Nether, throw some gold at it and it has a chance to throw a potion or splash potion of Fire Resistance back.
To brew the potion, you need a brewing stand fueled with blaze powder, a water bottle, nether wart, and magma cream. If you can't find a magma cube for magma cream, craft one from slime ball and blaze powder:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Slimeball + Blaze Powder |
Then brew it:
| Ingredients | Input » Output |
|---|---|
| Water Bottle + Nether Wart |
Add magma cream to awkward potion:
| Ingredients | Input » Output |
|---|---|
| Awkward Potion + Magma Cream |
Another way to gain Fire Resistance is by buying an arrow of Fire Resistance from a master-level fletcher villager. Hit yourself by shooting it with a bow aiming into the sky. You can also eat an enchanted golden apple or use a totem of undying to get the Fire Resistance effect. After getting the effect, jump into lava (very easy to find in the Nether). Alternatively, jump into lava while holding a totem of undying.
Chestful of Cobblestone
Mine 1,728 cobblestone and place it in a chest
Mine 1728 cobblestone or 27 stacks of cobblestone. Cobblestone can be obtained anywhere as terrain foundation is filled with stone. If you don't want to dig underground you can cut hills or mountains, or just create a cobblestone generator. Use a diamond, iron or netherite pickaxe enchanted with Effiency to do this fast without risking to break too much pickaxes. Put all the cobblestone in a chest to get the achievement.
Renewable Energy
Smelt wood trunks using charcoal to make charcoal
First, you need a furnace and 2 logs. Use this smelting recipe to make charcoal (any fuel can be used), and make another charcoal with that charcoal.
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Log or Any Wood or Any Stripped Log or Any Stripped Wood + Charcoal |
Body Guard
Create an Iron Golem
You need 36 iron ingots and a carved pumpkin or a jack o'lantern. Iron ingots can easily be farmed. Pumpkins can be found anywhere in multiple biomes, and in some villages. Use a shears to turn it into a carved pumpkin. Craft 4 iron blocks like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot |
Then place it like this. Make sure the blocks below the 'arms' are air and the carved pumpkin is placed at last.
Iron Man
Wear a full set of Iron Armor
You need 24 iron ingots to craft full set of iron armor:
| Name | Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Helmet | Iron Ingot | |
| Iron Chestplate | Iron Ingot | |
| Iron Leggings | Iron Ingot | |
| Iron Boots | Iron Ingot |
Iron armor can also be obtained from chests in villages (armorer's house and blacksmiths), ancient cities, trial chambers, strongholds and end cities, and it can also spawn on armor stands in taiga village outdoor armory. It can also be bought from armorer villagers, or dropped by vindicators or pillagers spawned in raids. Iron boots can also be obtained by bartering.
Zombie Doctor
Cure a zombie villager
You need to find a zombie villager, put it under the Weakness effect and give it a golden apple (by facing the zombie and pressing the use key with a golden apple in your hand). This process is called curing. There are a few methods to do this.
The easiest one is to find an igloo with a basement. This place is designed specifically for the Zombie Doctor advancement. Igloo basements generate with all the key ingredients: a zombie villager in a cage, a splash potion of Weakness inside of the brewing stand, and a golden apple inside of the chest. Simply break one of the iron bars holding the zombie villager, splash it with the potion, and give it the golden apple. After a maximum of five minutes, zombie villager will be cured and you will be granted the advancement.
Alternatively, if you can't find any igloos with basements, you can get a brewing stand and brew the potion of Weakness yourself. You can either craft the stand or find it.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Blaze Rod + Any stone-tier block |
To obtain a blaze rod, you need to kill a blaze. Blaze rods are not only used to craft the brewing stand, but also as a fuel for it (just craft the blaze rod into blaze powder), so even if you find a stand, you still need blaze rods to fuel it up.
Besides igloos, brewing stands also generate as a block in villages (church) and end ships.
Next, to brew a splash potion of Weakness, you need a fermented spider eye:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Brown Mushroom + Sugar + Spider Eye |
Next, you need a water bottle. Use a glass bottle in the main hand or in the off hand on a water source block.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Glass |
Water bottles can be also obtained through fishing or bartering.
The following steps are performed in the brewing stand. For more information about brewing, see the pages "Potion" and "Brewing".
First, brew a normal potion of Weakness:
| Potion | Potion brewing recipe |
|---|---|
Potion of Weakness ( |
|
To turn a potion of Weakness into a splash potion of Weakness, you need a piece of gunpowder, which drops from killing creepers, ghasts, or witches. Gunpowder also generates in dungeons, desert temples, shipwrecks and woodland mansions.
| Potion | Potion brewing recipe |
|---|---|
Splash potion of Weakness ( |
|
Witches also can throw splash potions of Weakness, if for some reason you can't go to the Nether. Splash and lingering potions of Weakness also generate in dispensers of trial chambers. You can also shoot the zombie villager with an arrow of Weakness, but that's not recommended for multiple reasons: such arrows will hurt (and potentially kill) the zombie, and their effect lasts much shorter (1/8 of the time) than from the potion.
Next, get a golden apple. It can be crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Gold Ingot + Apple |
Golden apples also generate in dungeons, mineshafts, bastions, desert temples, ancient cities, ruined portals, trial chambers, strongholds, ocean ruins and woodland mansions.
Zombie villagers spawn rarely as a variant of normal zombies. They also have a chance to spawn after a zombie kills a villager; it depends on difficulty of the game. To make sure that the zombie villager doesn't burn from sunlight, doesn't despawn and is not killed by an iron golem, it is recommended to trap the zombie villager and stay nearby during the process of curing.
After successfully trapping the zombie villager, splash it with potion of Weakness / shoot it with arrow of Weakness / make the witch splash it with its potion, and then give the zombie a golden apple. You will be granted the achievement once villager is cured, which takes up to 5 minutes.
The healing process of a zombie villager can be accelerated with the use of beds and iron bars. Having 14 of these blocks in a 9x9x9 area around the zombie villager while it is in the healing process reduces the waiting time.
Lion Hunter
Gain the trust of an Ocelot
Feed an ocelot with a raw cod or raw salmon. Ocelots can only spawn in a jungle biome and its variants. Once you gained their trust, ocelots no longer flee from you and you get this achievement.
Archer
Kill a creeper with arrows
Craft a bow like so. String can be obtained by killing spiders, striders or cats.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Stick + String |
Craft a few arrows like so. Break some gravel to get flint.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Flint + Stick + Feather |
Arrows and bows are also common drops from skeletons.
Find a creeper at night or in a cave. Shoot it with arrows, or melee attack it. Make sure the last hit is dealt with an arrow to get the achievement.
Tie Dye Outfit
Use a cauldron to dye all 4 unique pieces of leather armor
You need a full set of leather armor, consisting of leather cap, leather tunic, leather pants, and leather boots. This requiers 24 leather, which can be obtained by killing a lot of cows or horses. Craft the armor like so:
| Name | Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Leather Cap | Leather | |
| Leather Tunic | Leather | |
| Leather Pants | Leather | |
| Leather Boots | Leather |
Leather armor can also be found in several loot chests, and dyed armor can be bought from leatherworker villagers.
Then it requires a cauldron, water, and dyes.
To craft a cauldron, you need 7 iron ingots:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot |
You can fill cauldron using a water bucket, rain, or a glass bottle. For dye, you can easily obtain it from flowers. Then dye the water by adding it to the cauldron. Lastly, press use at cauldron filled with dyed water while holding leather armor to dye it.
Trampoline
Bounce 30 blocks upward off a slime block
First, craft a slime block using 9 slimeballs, which can be obtained by killing slimes or from trading with a wandering trader or from a sneezing panda.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Slimeball |
A simple way to achieve this achievement is to place 9 slime blocks in 3×3 block wide (5×5 is safer), then pillar up around 150 blocks with building blocks such as dirt, cobblestone, planks, etc. Jump off the pillar and make sure to fall on the slime blocks. When you bounce at least 30 blocks upward, you will get the achievement.
Camouflage
Kill a mob while wearing the same type of mob head
This achievement requires a mob head to obtain. There are two ways to obtain a mob head:
Wither skeletons have a 2,5% chance to drop a wither skeleton skull (this can be increased to up to 8,5% when killed by a Looting III sword). Go to the Nether and find a nether fortress. Make with the nether bricks you find there a big platform to increase the spawning of wither skeletons. Kill them with a Looting III sword until you get a wither skeleton skull.
Other mob heads can be obtained by blowing up mobs with a charged creeper. Mobs that drop their head are: zombie, skeleton, creeper, wither skeleton and piglin. Zombies are the easiest since they are relatively weak, don't have ranged attack and are easy to find at night.
Trap a zombie and a creeper in a boat, and make sure they don't take any damage. Kill all other mobs around them and make sure there are no iron golems nearby. Protect them from sunlight by building a roof of dirt or planks above them. Wait before a thunderstorm starts. When the weather has changed to thunder, remove the roof and hit the creeper with a Channeling trident. Tridents are rare drops from drowned, and Channeling can be added to it using an enchanting table. When the creeper transformed into a charged creeper, walk close to the creeper until it starts exploding. As soon as the creeper hisses, run away from the creeper, but don't let it stop exploding. Be aware, the charged creeper does extremely much damage, so a totem of undying may be helpful. After the explosion, collect the zombie head and get out of the thunderstorm.
Once you got a mob head, wear it and kill the same mob as the head. Once you killed the mob, you will get the achievement.
Map Room
Place 9 fully explored, adjacent map items into 9 item frames in a 3 by 3 square
First, you need to place 9 item frames in 3×3 square. The item frames have to be supported by blocks, such as planks or dirt. Item frames can be crafted using 8 sticks and a leather:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Stick + Leather |
Then for maps, the map actually doesn't need to be a locator map, so compass are not required, and the cheapest way to create an empty map without wasting so many paper is by using a cartography table, which can be crafted using 2 paper and 4 planks. Paper can be crafted with 3 sugar cane.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Sugar Cane |
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Paper + Any Planks |
Then use the cartography table to create 9 empty maps.
Just place a paper in one of the input slots and you will get an empty map in the output slot. So you only need 11 paper (2 to craft a cartography table, and 9 for 9 empty maps). After you create 9 empty maps, you can create a map by pressing use, and since scale level is 0 it is easy to explore. Use the 8 other maps in the terrain around the center map. Once all 9 maps are completely explored, place it in each item frame you arranged.
Freight Station
Use a Hopper to move an item from a Chest minecart to a Chest.
You need to craft a chest, a hopper, a rail, and a minecart with chest.
First, craft 3 chests:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks |
Chest can also be found in most generated structures.
Then, craft a hopper, a rail, and a minecart with chest using a minecart:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot + Chest |
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Chest + Minecart |
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot |
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot + Stick |
Minecart with chests and rails can also be found in mineshafts.
Finally, place a chest, a hopper, a rail, and a minecart with chest on top of each other, and put a random item in the minecart with chest.
Smelt Everything!
Connect 3 Chests to a single Furnace using 3 Hoppers.
Place 3 chests, 3 hoppers and a furnace like this:
Taste of Your Own Medicine
Poison a witch with a splash potion
Throw a splash potion of Poison at a witch. First, brew a potion of Poison:
| Ingredients | Input » Output |
|---|---|
| Awkward Potion + Spider Eye |
Then add gunpowder to turn it into a splash potion:
| Ingredients | Input » Output |
|---|---|
| Potion of Poison + Gunpowder |
Next, find a witch. Witches spawn at night, in caves, in swamp huts and during raids. Throw the splash potion at it and you will get the achievement.
Inception
Push a piston with a piston, then pull the original piston with that piston
This achievement requires a design similar to a flying machine. The easiest way to obtain it is using a piston, a sticky piston, and a button. Craft them like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Matching Planks |
Craft 2 pistons:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks + Cobblestone + Iron Ingot + Redstone Dust |
Add a slimeball to the piston to craft a sticky piston:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Slimeball + Piston |
Place the piston and the sticky piston next to each other on the ground. Make sure their heads are facing toward each other. Then, place a button on the piston and press it, to push the sticky piston. Finally, remove the button and place it on the sticky piston, then press it. The sticky piston will now extend and retract, so the piston gets pulled and you get the achievement.
Saddle Up
Tame a horse
Horses spawn in savannas and plains. You can ride adult horses by right-clicking it with an empty hand. It will knock you off a few times, but after trying enough times, it no longer bucks the player and it is tamed.
Artificial Selection
Breed a mule from a horse and a donkey
Horses and donkeys spawn in savannas and plains. You can breed a horse and a donkey using golden apples or golden carrots, but golden carrots are recommended, since it is cheaper.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Gold Nugget + Carrot |
You can also buy 3 golden carrots from a master-level farmer villager for 3 emeralds.
Free Diver
Stay underwater for 2 minutes
To stay underwater for 2 minutes, you will need a potion of Water Breathing or a bubble column to prevent drowning.
Drink a potion of Water Breathing, then jump into water. Or use whirlpool bubble columns from a magma blocks to breath underwater for 2 minutes. Magma blocks can be usually found in underwater trenches, underwater cavern at lava layer, and at underwater ruins.
Potions of Water Breathing can be found in buried treasures, or it can be brewed with a pufferfish. Pufferfish spawn in warm oceans or can be fished in any non-jungle biome.
| Ingredients | Input » Output |
|---|---|
| Awkward Potion + Pufferfish |
Jump into a river, ocean or lake and make sure your head is underwater. Drink the potion and stay underwater for 2 minutes. Kill any drowned that try to attack you, or swim away.
You can also use a bubble column to provide yourself air to stay underwater for 2 minutes. Bubble columns appear above magma blocks or soul sand. Magma blocks generate near ocean ruins or in underwater ravines or caves. Soul sand can be found in the soul sand valley in the Nether.
When using magma blocks, try to stay in the bubble column as long as possible. The bubble column will pull you fast downward, so you must swim away before hitting the magma block, or else you would take damage. Swim upward and get in the bubble column to refill your oxygen bar. Repeat this for 2 minutes.
Soul sand blocks are a bit easier, since you don't take any damage. Place a soul sand under water, but make sure the bubble column does not reach the air, by placing a block above the column or doing it in a cave. Swim in the bubble column and it will push you upward until you reach the ceiling. Stay there for 2 minutes to get the achievement.
Rabbit Season
Cook and eat Rabbit Meat.
You will need some raw rabbit to earn this achievement, so kill rabbits until you get at least one raw rabbit. Rabbits spawn in most snowy biomes, plateau biomes (meadow, cherry grove, grove and snowy slopes) and in the desert. They are most common in the desert. Cook the raw rabbit in a furnace, smoker, or campfire. When cooking with a campfire, you do not require fuel.
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Raw Rabbit + Any fuel |
After eating the cooked rabbit, the achievement is awarded to you!
The Deep End
Defeat an Elder Guardian
3 elder guardians always spawn in each ocean monument, which generate only in deep ocean biomes. Ocean monuments can be found by just searching the deep ocean, or by buying an ocean explorer map from a journeyman cartographer villager. It is recommended to wear diamond or netherite boots with Depth Strider III and having some potions of Water Breathing. Enter the ocean monument and find a way through the maze. You can not mine through walls because the elder guardians give you Mining Fatigue. Kill any guardians on your way and when you found an elder guardian, kill it with a trident enchanted with Impaling V. A potion of Strength II may also help defeat elder guardian easier. For more details on defeating an ocean monument, see Tutorial:Defeating an ocean monument.
Dry Spell
Dry a sponge in a furnace
Sponges can be found in the sponge rooms of an ocean monument, or as a drop from an elder guardian. Collect one and use the smelting recipe below to dry it and get the achievement.
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Wet Sponge + Any fuel |
Super Fuel
Power a Furnace with Lava
Smelt or cook anything in a furnace, smoker, or blast furnace using a lava bucket as fuel. Lava buckets can be obtained by filling a bucket with lava, which can be found in Overworld lava pools, lava-filled caves or in the Nether. Put the lava bucket in the fuel slot and put something to smelt or cook (like raw meat or raw ore) in the other slot.
You Need a Mint
Collect dragons breath in a glass bottle
To collect the dragon's breath, use a glass bottle on the dragon's breath particles: either when it lands on the exit portal and breathes on the ground, or on particles from its fireball. Note that breath of the dragon deals high magic damage!
You will get the achievement as soon as there is a bottle of dragon's breath in your inventory.
There is currently a bug that awards you the achievement on a random moment in the game.
Beam Me Up
Teleport over 100 meters from a single throw of an Ender Pearl
First, you need an ender pearl. Ender pearls are drops from endermen, stronghold chest loot and they can be obtained from bartering with piglins. Pillar up many blocks (80 must be enough) and throw the ender pearl as far as possible. You can also go to the top of a mountains biome and throw an ender pearl to other biomes, make sure to face straight and little a bit looking up, not looking down. You can also get this achievement when you teleport from top of obsidian pillar to end fountain.
The End... Again...
Respawn the Enderdragon
Respawning the ender dragon is possible by placing four end crystals on certain blocks of bedrock that surround the exit portal in the End. You can craft end crystals like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Glass + Eye of Ender + Ghast Tear |
The exit portal is surrounded by three bedrock blocks on each side, with blocks connecting each of the sides, for a total of 16 blocks. Place an end crystal on these 3-block lines on each of the sides. An example configuration is shown below.

Placing the crystals starts the respawning sequence: exit portal turns off and end crystals on the obsidian towers start regenerating one by one. At the end of the sequence, the ender dragon is reborn, and as soon as this happens, you will get the achievement.
Note that this should not be done if you haven't collected the dragon egg yet, because the new dragon can destroy it and you will lose the only chance to get the dragon egg.
Great View From Up Here
Levitate up 50 blocks from the attacks of a Shulker
Levitate upwards for at least 50 blocks under the Levitation effect, which is acquired by getting hit by a shulker's projectile.
It is possible, although very tricky, to do this achievement using no help from pearls or chorus. You need a lot of shulker bullets constantly hitting you for about 30 seconds. Earning this achievement becomes significantly easier if you throw an ender pearl at an end city tower above you after gaining Levitation. To avoid dying from fall damage after the effect wears off, you can throw another ender pearl, glide down using elytra, try to position yourself just above a tower roof, place a water bucket where you intend to land, wear boots enchanted with a high Feather Falling level, or eat a chorus fruit.
Another way to get the achievement is to make a 50 block tall tower. Place water at the top, and swim up once the shulker hits you.
Super Sonic
Use Elytra to fly through a 1 by 1 gap while moving faster than 40 m/s
First, you need to find an elytra in an end city. End cities have a chance of generating end ships, which is where the elytra can be found. It is placed on an item frame guarded by a shulker. Use an ender pearl to teleport there or utilize a shulker bullet.
Once you have the elytra, wear it in the chestplate slot. You can now glide by pressing jump while falling.
To make your flying speed higher, you need firework rockets. It is recommended to craft using 3 gunpowder, so it will boost longer.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Paper + Gunpowder |
Try to fly through one by one block gap at high speed with the boost of a firework rocket, such as fly through the end gateway.
An easier way to is to fly through the gap vertically, flying straight down. Build the gap over water and create a tower of scaffolding directly next to the gap. Jump off the top of the scaffolding and fly straight down through the gap and into the water. If you do not receive the achievement, make the tower higher or use firework rocket.
Treasure Hunter
Acquire a map from a cartographer villager, then enter the revealed structure
The easiest way to obtain this achievement is by buying an ocean explorer map from a journeyman cartographer villager. When the villager sells a trial explorer map instead of an ocean explorer map, find and upgrade another villager. As soon as you bought the map, you can see your location in one of the corners of the map. You need to move into the direction of the ocean monument on the map. The direction the sun and moon move toward is the east The east is to the left side of the map. Travel into the right direction, cross oceans and rivers with boats. When you are near the monument, the map starts to fill in and you can see your location and direction on the map. Hold the map until you reach and enter the ocean monument to get the achievement. You can also buy woodland explorer maps or trial explorer maps, but they are harder find.
Organizational Wizard
Name a Shulker Box with an Anvil
To get a shulker box, you need 2 shulker shells, dropped by shulkers. Shulkers can be found in end cities. Craft a shulker box like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Shulker Shell + Chest |
To rename it, you need an anvil. An easy way to get all the iron is by using an iron farm.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Block of Iron + Iron Ingot |
Place and use the anvil and put the shulker box in left slot. Enter the name you want to give it in the text box above and take the shulker box from the right slot. Renaming it cost 1 experience level.
Cheating Death
Use the Totem of Undying to cheat death
Totems of undying can be dropped by evokers. There are 2 ways to find evokers:
Find a woodland mansion (this can be done easily by buying a woodland explorer map from a master-level cartographer). On the second and third floor, some evokers can spawn.
Start a raid. This can be done by drinking an ominous bottle while in a village. Ominous bottles are dropped by pillager captains, which can rarely spawn near you, or spawn in a pillager outpost. Ominous bottles can also be ejected by vaults in trial chambers. When the raid has started, some evokers may spawn. Higher levels of ominous bottles increase the change of evokers spawning.
Kill an evoker to get a totem of undying. Be aware, evokers are tough enemies. Attack them with enchanted diamond or netherite armor and an enchanted diamond or netherite sword. Kill them as fast as possible, to prevent them from spawning vexes.
When you have the totem of undying, die while holding it in your hand or offhand. An easy way to die is by drowning.
Feeling Ill
Defeat an Evoker
Kill an evoker, which can only spawn in woodland mansions or during raids. In woodland mansions, evokers can only spawn on the second and third floor, while during raids they start to spawn at wave 5. The easiest way to find evoker is via raids as the player doesn't need to travel far away, but requires Bad Omen before entering a village. Bad Omen can be obtained from ominous bottles, which can be dropped by pillager captains. Higher levels of Bad Omen increase the chances of evokers spawning.
Beware of the evoker fang and vexes, it is recommended to kill them very quickly using a strong melee weapon, such as a sword. Try to prevent them from spawning vexes, but if they spawned, kill them once they are nearby, after killing the evoker.
Let it Go!
Using the Frost Walker boots, walk on at least 1 block on frozen water on a deep ocean
Frost Walker is a treasure enchantment, so you can find it from chests in some structures, fishing, trading with librarian villager, or by killing raiding illagers in raids. Enchant any boots with the book in an anvil.
If you cannot find deep ocean biomes, buy an ocean explorer map from a cartographer, as ocean monuments will only generate in deep ocean biomes variants. If the deep ocean is a deep frozen ocean, the surface will be completely frozen, and you need to break some ice and walk on water, or go inside an iceberg, since water only freezes when directly spotted to sunlight, while water in iceberg tunnels doesn't freeze. Walk on a full block to transform the water around you into frosted ice. Once you walk at least one block on it, you get the achievement.
So I Got That Going for Me
Lead a caravan containing at least 5 Llamas
An easy way to obtain this achievement is by killing a wandering trader, so you will get 2 lead with 2 tamed trader llamas. Leash one and another trader llama will form a caravan. Find more llamas in windswept hills or savanna biomes. Walk with your caravan nearby other llamas until you have 5 of them. You can also breed (trader) llamas as baby llamas are also counted toward caravans. The llamas don't need to be tamed. If you cannot find a lead, you can craft it using string and a slimeball:

Atlantis?
Find an underwater ruin
This achievement is easy to achieve. Just search in an ocean until you find some small structures underwater. Swim near them to get the achievement.
Sail the 7 Seas
Visit all ocean biomes.
There are 9 ocean biomes required for this achievement, which are:
Ocean
Cold ocean
Frozen ocean
Lukewarm ocean
Warm ocean
Deep ocean
Deep cold ocean
Deep frozen ocean
Deep lukewarm ocean
You can travel using a boat or by swimming. If you prefer swimming, boots enchanted with Depth Strider may help you move faster in water. Dolphins can also give you swimming speed boost. Elytra or tridents enchanted with Riptide are the fastest ways to travel. Deep oceans can be found with an ocean explorer map, since ocean monuments only generate in deep oceans. When searching for the different ocean temperatures, keep this in mind:
- Warm oceans always generate near deserts and badlands.
- Lukewarm oceans always generate near jungle and savanna biomes.
- 'Normal' oceans always generate near middle biomes like plains, forest, birch forest and dark forest.
- Cold oceans always generate near taiga biomes.
- Frozen oceans always generate near snowy biomes.
Castaway
Eat nothing but dried kelp for three in-game days
To get this achievement, you have to eat one dried kelp first. For the next 3 in-game days, eat nothing but dried kelp. You can skip half of the time by sleeping in a bed.
To obtain dried kelp, you need to find kelp, which can be found abundantly in ocean biomes except in warm ocean, frozen ocean, and deep frozen ocean. After you get kelp, cook it in furnace, smoker, or campfire:
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Kelp + Any fuel |
Ahoy!
Find a shipwreck
This achievement is a bit harder than finding ruins as shipwrecks are rarer than ocean ruins. On rare occasions, you may find shipwrecks on land. Shipwrecks will be easily visible as they are made out of planks, which are easy to spot. Also, undamaged shipwrecks are more noticeable, especially in warm oceans, due to coral reefs making them easy to distinguish. An easy way to find a shipwreck is by feeding a dolphin raw cod. The dolphin will lead you to a near shipwreck.
I'm a Marine Biologist
Collect a fish in a bucket
Prepare a water bucket. You need a live fish: they are naturally found in any aquatic biome. This includes oceans, rivers and aquifers in lush caves. Use the water bucket on any type of fish; if you accidentally empty your bucket instead of catching the fish, you need to fill it again with water before next attempt. Once you have obtained the bucket of fish (a bucket of cod, bucket of salmon, bucket of pufferfish, or a bucket of tropical fish), you will be rewarded the achievement.
Me Gold!
Dig up a buried treasure
First, you need to find a treasure map. This can be found in shipwrecks and ocean ruins. Treasure maps usually lead you to beaches, snowy beaches, or stony shores. If it generates in a stony shore, the buried treasure will usually generate higher than sea level. In other biomes, the treasure may also generate under water. The buried treasure is marked with an 'X' on the map. Use your pickaxe to break stone and shovel to dig sand, it is never deeper than a few blocks. Lastly, open the treasure chest.
Sleep with the Fishes
Spend a day underwater
Brew or find 3 potions of Water Breathing (8:00). Drink a potion and stay underwater without losing oxygen. Each potion lasts for 8 minutes so you have an extra 4 minutes of water breathing more than the 20 minutes of the goal required. While you're underwater, you can explore underwater caverns, the sea floor, fight drowned, find structures such shipwrecks, ocean ruins, or ocean monuments, or build underwater to spend the 20 minutes.
Conduit Power also grants you underwater breathing indefinitely as long you are underwater near an active conduit.
Alternative Fuel
Power a furnace with a kelp block
To get a dried kelp block, you need to find 9 kelp in an ocean. Dry it in a furnace, smoker or campfire and craft the dried kelp into a dried kelp block. Lastly, fuel a furnace with the dried kelp block and cook or smelt something with it.

Do a Barrel Roll!
Use Riptide to give yourself a boost
To obtain a trident, you must kill some drowned. You can find them in the ocean and rivers or you can convert zombies into drowned by drowning them. Drowned can still drop tridents, even when they don't spawn holding a trident.
After you have a trident, enchant it with Riptide. Riptide can be obtained from an enchanting table. When Riptide is not shown in the enchanting table GUI, enchant a book with a low enchantment and try it again until you get Riptide. It can only be launched during rain or when in water, so if it is not raining, you can swim in a small water pool. Face to the sky and throw the trident to launch yourself into the sky. Make sure to land in a water pool or wear an elytra to prevent fall damage.
One Pickle, Two Pickle, Sea Pickle, Four
Place four Sea Pickles in a group
Find and collect 4 sea pickles in a warm ocean. Alternatively, if you cannot find a warm ocean, go to desert villages and find small houses that have 2 sea pickles as mugs. Then, place 4 sea pickles in a single block to obtain the achievement.
Echolocation
Feed a dolphin fish to have it lead you to treasure
Feed a dolphin raw cod or raw salmon, and follow it to the treasure. If the dolphin stops moving, but no structure is located, feed it again until it leads you to ocean ruins or a shipwreck.
Dolphins can spawn in any ocean except frozen ocean and deep frozen ocean.
Moskstraumen
Activate a Conduit
Use prismarine, prismarine bricks, dark prismarine, or sea lanterns to make a conduit frame. Conduits can only activate if the 3×3×3 area around it is filled with water. Prismarine, dark prismarine, sea lanterns, and prismarine bricks can be found in ocean monuments. Prismarine and sea lanterns can also be found in cold ocean ruins. You can also craft it from ingredients dropped by guardians, or found in buried treasure or ocean ruins loot chests.

Then, you need to find 8 nautilus shells, which is dropped by drowned that is holding it, bought from wandering traders or as fishing treasure. Next, you need to find a heart of the sea, which always spawns in a buried treasure.
Now, craft a conduit:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Nautilus Shell + Heart of the Sea |
Place the conduit in the middle of the construction to activate it. For more details about the construction, see Tutorial:Acquiring a conduit.
Top of the World
Place scaffolding to the world limit.
First, you need lots of string and at most 260 bamboo. Bamboo can be found in large quantities at bamboo jungle biomes, and some can be found in other jungle biomes. Bamboo can also be found in jungle temple chests and it can also be caught as fishing junk in jungle biomes. Alternatively, if you cannot find jungle biomes, you can get bamboo from shipwreck supply chests. Craft 160-260 scaffolding:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Bamboo + String |
Place a scaffolding, preferably in higher terrain to save materials. Extend the pillar by right-clicking the first scaffolding with scaffolding, until you get the achievement. Break the first scaffolding to get everything back.
Where Have You Been?
Receive a gift from a tamed cat in the morning.
First, travel to a village, where you can find stray cats. Then, tame a cat using raw cod or raw salmon. Wait until a stray cat approaches you. Use the fish on the cat when it is within entity interaction range (5 blocks). It may take multiple fish to tame it. Once tamed, they emit love particles. Now, sleep in a bed at night. When you sleep, the tamed cat will sleep with you and it has a chance to give you a gift in the morning. Pick up the gift and you get the achievement. When it did not give you a gift, sleep again until it gives you one.
Zoologist
Breed two pandas with bamboo.
Pandas spawn in all jungle biomes, but are most common in bamboo jungles. Find 2 pandas and make sure there is at least 8 bamboo nearby, which is common in bamboo jungles, or you can plant the bamboo manually. Use 2 bamboo to breed the pandas and you will get the achievement.
Fruit on the Loom
Make a banner using an Enchanted Apple Stencil.
First, you have to find an enchanted golden apple. Enchanted golden apples are rare chest loot from monster rooms, mineshafts, desert pyramids, ruined portals, bastion remnants, woodland mansions and trial chambers, but they are most common in ancient cities.
Add paper to it in a crafting table to craft the thing banner pattern.

Plethora of Cats
Befriend twenty stray cats.
Cats spawn for every 4 beds in a village and the cat population is capped at 10 per village, so you need to travel to at least 2 villages to get 20 cats. Villages can easily be found in the plains, sunflower plains, taiga, snowy taiga, snowy plains, savanna, and desert. Place extra beds in the village to make sure there are 40 beds in the village, or find more villages. Wait for stray cats to spawn and tame them until you have 20 of them. This achievement can easily be combined with 'Where Have You Been?'.
Kill the Beast!
Defeat a Ravager.
Ravagers spawn during the later waves in raids. More ravagers spawn if a raid is triggered with a higher level of Bad Omen. These mobs have 100HP × 50 and have high melee damage. It's recommended to defeat these mobs from a distance as blocking with a shield can stun ravagers and cause them to roar, knockbacking and dealing damage to nearby mobs except for other illagers. Since this mob can only use a melee attack, build a 3 block pillar and shoot the ravager using a bow or crossbow until it dies. You can also melee attack it with a high damage weapon.
Buy Low, Sell High
Trade for the best possible price.
There are two ways to get this achievement.
One way is by getting the Hero of the Village effect by defeating a raid. Trade anything that is reduced in price with a villager and you will get the achievement. Another way is to cure a zombie villager and trade with it for reduced prices.
Disenchanted
Use a Grindstone to get experience from an enchanted item.
Grindstones can be found in village blacksmiths, or you can craft one.
First, you need stone. This can be obtained by mining it using a Silk Touch pickaxe or by smelting cobblestone:
| Ingredients | Smelting recipe |
|---|---|
| Cobblestone + Any fuel |
Craft stone slabs with a crafting table or a stonecutter:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Stone |
| Ingredients | Cutting recipe |
|---|---|
| Stone |
Next, craft a grindstone:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Stick + Stone Slab + Any Planks |
Place the grindstone. Put an enchanted item in one of the input slots. Enchanted items can be obtained by enchanting an item in an enchanting table, buying it from a villager, fishing, some mob drops, or several loot chests.
Take the disenchanted item out of the output slot and you will get the achievement.
We're being attacked!
Trigger a Pillager Raid.
The Bad Omen effect can be obtained from drinking an ominous bottle, which is dropped by a pillager captain or by vaults. Walk into a village while having the effect and you will get the achievement. Be aware, the Bad Omen will turn into Raid Omen and a raid will start. Prepare yourself for the raid.
Sound the Alarm!
Ring the bell in a village after a villager has been hurt.
A bell can be found in a village meeting point. They can be rung using redstone, projectiles, or by pressing use on them. If you create your own village, bells are sold by armorer, toolsmith and weaponsmith villagers for 36 emeralds.
Zombies are the easiest hostile mobs that attack villagers to find. When a zombie is nearby, get a villager out of its house by breaking his bed and lead them to the bell. Let the zombie hurt the villager once. Rung the bell and you will get the achievement.
I've got a bad feeling about this
Kill a Pillager Captain.
There are 2 ways to find pillager captains, from pillager patrols or from pillager outposts. Pillager outposts can be found in biomes where villages can generate, and some more. Pillager captains can be easily distinguished between other pillagers as this pillager will be wearing an ominous banner on their head. Kill this mob and you will get the achievement, plus an ominous bottle.
Master Trader
Trade for 1,000 emeralds.
This achievement can be easier with the Hero of the Village effect, as it gives you a trading discount lowering the price in emeralds and amount of items necessary to exchange.
As long you have huge crop farms, the best trade is crop trades from farmers as it can give you a huge amount of emeralds. The more farmer villagers you have in your village the faster you will get this achievement, as the villagers need to restock after a certain amount of trades. Use composters to assign the farmer profession to either additionally bred villagers or existing ones in a naturally generated village.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Wooden Slab |
You can sell wheat, beetroots, potatoes, carrots, pumpkins, melon slices, and eggs to farmer villagers. Trade with villagers until you get 1000 emeralds or 15 stacks of emerald + 40 emeralds.
If you craft it into block of emerald, it's equal to 111 blocks of emeralds with one extra emerald or a full stack of a block of emeralds + 47 blocks of emeralds and one emerald left.
Another fast way to do this is by using an iron farm. When having the Hero of the Village effect, you can sell 2000 iron ingots to apprentice armorer, toolsmith and weaponsmith villagers to get 1000 emeralds.
Time for Stew
Give someone a suspicious stew.
This achievement requires a multiplayer game.
To complete this achievement, you must throw a suspicious stew at another player and have them pick it up. An easy way to get suspicious stew is by buying it from an expert farmer villager for one emerald.
Bee our guest
Use a Campfire to collect Honey from a Beehive using a Bottle without aggravating the bees.
First, get 2 campfires. They can be crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Stick + Coal or Charcoal + Any Log orStem or Any Stripped Log orStem or Any Wood orHyphae or Any Stripped Wood orHyphae |
Campfires also generate in villages and ancient cities, but picking them up requires a tool with Silk Touch. They can also be bought from fisherman villagers.
Next, you need a bee nest. Bee nests generate on trees only in few biomes. Within these, each tree has a fixed chance to spawn a bee nest. Every bee nest generates along with 3 bees.
| Biome | Chance |
|---|---|
| 100% | |
| 5% | |
| 2% | |
| 0.2% |
Place a campfire 5 blocks or less under the bee nest. Use a shears on the bee nest until you get 3 honeycombs, and craft a beehive:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks + Honeycomb |
Place the beehive. Breed 2 bees using nearby flowers, so one of the bees claims the beehive and starts filling it.
Then, get a glass bottle. It can be crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Glass |
Other methods of obtaining glass bottles include drinking potions, fishing, and killing witches.
Place the campfire directly under the beehive. The campfire's smoke reaches the beehive if it is within five blocks below it. Now you have to wait until bees fill up the hive with honey; this is indicated by a changed texture of the block and honey particles dripping from it. Bees can fill up their hive only if there is something nearby that they can pollinate:
- flowers (other than wither roses),
- flowering azaleas,
- flowering azalea and cherry leaves,
- mangrove propagules,
- spore blossoms,
- chorus flowers.
The plant can't be inside of a flower pot. When the beehive/bee nest is filled up, use a bottle on it; you will get a honey bottle and the achievement.
Total Beelocation
Move and place a Bee Nest, with 3 bees inside, using Silk Touch.
First, you need to find a bee nest (see Bee Our Guest above). You also need any tool enchanted with Silk Touch, although axes are the fastest.
At night or during rain, all bees from a given nest go back to it for a rest. All naturally generated bee nests have three bees inside at the beginning, but they may get lost on the way back to their nest or get killed. Thus, there is no guarantee that a given nest still has all of its original bees inside.
When you break the bee nest with a tool enchanted with Silk Touch, it drops as an item, with the bees still inside it, and the bees aren't be angry at you. If you don't break it with Silk Touch, the nest drops nothing, and the bees are angry. You must break the nest quickly, otherwise the bees can escape before you break it. Once you break the nest, you should get the achievement; if you didn't get it, this means that the nest didn't have all 3 bees inside. You can look at the nest's tooltip in your inventory to see how many bees are in it.
Sticky Situation
Slide down a honey block to slow your fall.
Craft a honey block from four honey bottles to (more info on how get those under Bee Our Guest above).
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Honey Bottle |
You need the honey block to "slow down your fall". Touching any side of the block while falling slows you down, but the game tracks this in a slightly unpredictable way, so multiple attempts may be required. A recommended way of obtaining this advancement is like so: place the honey block one block above the ground, all spaces around it should be empty. Stand right next to the honey block, so that your hitbox collides with it, and jump. Try a couple of times if this didn't trigger the advancement, you should eventually get it.
Bullseye
Hit the bullseye of a Target block
First get a target:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Redstone Dust + Hay Bale |
Targets can also naturally generate in ancient cities.
Then try to hit the center with any projectile, preferably an arrow using a bow or a crossbow. Unlike in Java Edition, the distance does not matter.
Cover me in Debris
Wear a full set of Netherite armor
You need a full set of diamond armor, four netherite ingots, a smithing table and four netherite upgrades.
Netherite ingots and diamond armor can be crafted or found in bastion remnant chests. Diamond armor can also be obtained by trading with master-level armorsmith villagers or by killing zombies and skeletons (very rare drop). It can also generate in chests in end cities and woodland mansions.
Smithing tables can naturally generate in toolsmith houses in villages, as well as in trail ruins. Netherite upgrades can be found exclusively in bastion remnant chests, but guaranteed only in treasure rooms there. Alternatively, given seven diamonds and a block of netherrack, they can be duplicated in the crafting table.
Now, place down the smithing table and make a full set of netherite armor:
| Ingredients | Smithing recipe |
|---|---|
| Netherite Upgrade + Diamond Helmet or Diamond Chestplate or Diamond Leggings or Diamond Boots + Netherite Ingot |
Once you put every piece in the correct armor slot, you will be rewarded the achievement.
Oooh, shiny!
Distract a Piglin using gold
First, get an adult piglin to become aggressive toward you while you are not wearing any golden armor. Attacking the piglin while wearing any golden armor doesn't trigger the achievement.
Then, throw one of the following items item at the piglin:
Bell
Block of Gold
Block of Raw Gold
Clock
Deepslate Gold Ore
Enchanted Golden Apple
Gilded Blackstone
Glistering Melon Slice
Gold Ingot
Gold Ore
Golden Apple
Golden Axe
Golden Boots
Golden Carrot
Golden Chestplate
Golden Helmet
Golden Hoe
Golden Horse Armor
Golden Leggings
Golden Pickaxe
Golden Shovel
Golden Sword
Light Weighted Pressure Plate
Nether Gold Ore
Raw Gold
Any other items, even if they are gold-related, don't unlock this advancement.
Alternatively you can use a gold ingot on a piglin to force a trade to begin, thus granting the achievement.
Once the piglin starts admiring the item, you will be rewarded the achievement.
Hot tourist destination
Visit all Nether biomes
This is achieved by setting foot in all five biomes in the Nether:
If you go to the achievement tab, you can see how many of the five biomes you have visited.
Once you have entered all of these biomes, you will be granted the achievement.
Whatever Floats Your Goat
Get in a boat and float with a goat
First, prepare a boat (not a boat with chest). Next, locate a goat; they only spawn in three mountain biomes:
When you have found a goat, place a boat on the block right next to the goat. Push the animal inside if needed; lead might also be useful. When the goat enters the boat, use the boat to enter yourself and move to a cliff to fall a few blocks. You will then get the achievement.
Wax on, Wax off
Apply and remove Wax from all the Copper blocks!!!
First, you need 4 honeycomb. Locate a beehive or bee nest with honey (see Bee Our Guest above). A campfire placed underneath it is not necessary, but recommended, so that the bees don't get angry. Then, get a pair of shears. They can be crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot |
Shears can also be bought from shepherd villagers.
Use shears on the beehive filled with honey (texture change and honey particles dripping indicate that). You will acquire 3 honeycombs. Wait until the bee nest has refilled or find another bee nest to get 4 honeycombs. Alternatively, you can also find honeycomb in certain chests in trial chambers.
Next, you need these 4 different copper blocks:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Copper Ingot |
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Block of Copper |
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Cut Copper |
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |

You can also use a stonecutter for the latter 3 blocks: <ref>
| Ingredients | Cutting recipe |
|---|---|
| Block of Copper | |
| Block of Copper | |
| Cut Copper | |
| Block of Copper | |
| Cut Copper |
Copper ore can be found most often generating at Y level 47 to 48. When mining it, remember to use a pickaxe better than wooden, the ore will drop either raw copper or itself (the latter will only drop if you're using Silk Touch). Smelting either raw copper or copper ore results in a copper ingot. Alternatively, you can get copper ingots rarely from drowned drops. All of these blocks can also be found in trial chambers, but those are pre-waxed, so to get the achievement, you need to scrape the wax first.
Place the block of copper down, and use the honeycomb on the block of copper. You will then get the achievement. Even if you already had a block of copper placed before and it oxidized, it will work.
The Healing Power of Friendship!
Team up with an axolotl and win a fight
First, you need a water bucket.
Next, find an axolotl. They spawn in water in lush caves above clay blocks. This is an underground biome, but you can occasionally find azalea trees on the surface; they indicate that there is a lush cave beneath them.
Once you have located an axolotl, use your water bucket on it. This will put the axolotl inside of the bucket. If you accidentally empty your bucket instead of catching the axolotl, you need to fill it again with water before next attempt.
You should get more than one axolotl in case you fail on the first attempt. Preparing a diamond/netherite axe with high level of Sharpness or Smite can also help, as well as a helmet with Respiration or a potion of Water Breathing, although these items are not strictly necessary.
When you have an axolotl, locate an underwater hostile mob. A singular drowned without a trident is recommended, as this is the easiest mob to kill, although guardians and elder guardians in theory work as well.
Release your axolotl from the bucket and let it hit the hostile mob once. Then, kill the hostile mob as fast as possible: a diamond axe with Smite V one-shots the drowned and not damage the axolotl from sweeping effect, like sword does. You will get the Regeneration effect if the axolotl is still alive and not in the "playing dead" state, which it may enter once it was hit by your enemy. There is a way to avoid that: drowned and guardians attack axolotls only in water, so if an axolotl attacks them from the shore, they don't retaliate. Keep in mind that the axolotl will try to get in the water.
You will be granted the achievement if the axolotl applied the Regeneration effect to you.
Caves and Cliffs
Free fall from the top of the world (build limit) to the bottom of the world and survive.
There are a couple of methods to do this. The usual way, accessible even in early game, involves creating a tall pillar all the way to the build limit, and a shaft straight down to the bedrock layer right next to it.
Step 1: Shaft
Prepare a water bucket, 6 stacks of scaffolding (if you don't have easy access to bamboo, you can use 6 stacks of any other block), 1 trapdoor and a good pickaxe.
Go to the bottom of the Overworld. The highest layer with bedrock generates at Y=-60; you need to find a block of bedrock at least 2 layers deeper, at Y=-62, that can be accessed from above. Place a water bucket on top of that bedrock, so you can survive your jump. Write down X and Z coordinates of this block (use the show coordinates option to see those). If you are in a cold biome, you should place a light source next to the water, so it doesn't turn into ice.
Next, go to the surface on the corresponding coordinates, and dig 1×2 shaft all the way down to that block of bedrock: one column is for the jump, and the other is for going back up. If you find lava on the way down, it might be a good idea to choose a different spot for this advancement.
A very unlikely but possible scenario includes encountering an amethyst geode in your shaft. Remember that budding amethyst blocks grow amethyst clusters on their side, potentially blocking the drop, so make sure that no budding amethyst is present in the shaft.
Step 2: Pillar
Create a pillar of scaffolding in the second column. You can simply place the first scaffolding and keep clicking (use) on the side, until you see a message "Height limit for building is 320 blocks". This means that pillar has reached build limit.

You can then walk inside of the scaffolding and hold jump to go all the way to build limit. Scaffolding is the best block for such a pillar, but you could also use ladders or just simply pillar up with normal blocks. Next, on top of your pillar, remove one scaffolding block and place four solid blocks and a trapdoor like so:

The trapdoor should be directly above the target water source block at the bottom. Make sure it is at correct coordinates, as you will most likely die from falling if you miss the jump!
Step 3: The jump
Stand on top of the trapdoor and use it: you will start falling. Don't move! It takes about 8 seconds to reach bedrock from build limit. If you did everything correctly, you will hit the water placed in step 1 and get the achievement. You can then use your scaffolding pillar to get back out.
Alternative method
You can use a less time consuming method if you have access to endgame items: elytra and totems of undying. Starting from any point on the surface, simply dig a shaft to bedrock, find a spot where the bedrock begins at Y=-62. Equip a totem in your off-hand. Next, point straight up (very important: you must point exactly 90 degrees upward!). Enter flying mode with your elytra and, using fireworks, fly out of the shaft. Do not move your mouse! When you pass height 320, stop using fireworks. You will slow down and eventually fall back into the shaft. Again, it is very important that you don't move at all during the flight and fall. If you do everything correctly, you will hit bedrock at the bottom few seconds later, using up your totem and granting the advancement.
End method
Another method is going to the End with an elytra. Fly to Y=320 over the void and stop flying midair. Then, fall into the void until you get the advancement. Once you receive the advancement, fly out of the void to avoid taking too much void damage. Entering the void should be done at a shallow angle, so you don't fall too deep. Eating a golden apple or even an enchanted golden apple might help in surviving the void damage.
Star Trader
Trade with a villager at the build height limit.
The usual way of completing this achievement requires the player to transport a villager to the build limit of 320, and then trade with it. The villager can be transported upward in a variety of ways. One of them is to use a vertical flying machine, with the benefit that a tower doesn't need to be constructed. The specific method is described in this video (it is in Java Edition but it also works on Bedrock Edition).

First, trap the villager in a boat. Dig a hole next to it, 5 blocks deep, 4 blocks long and 3 wide. Inside of that space, build a flying machine according to the screenshot: you need 1 sticky piston, 1 piston 2 observers, 2 slime blocks and 1 torch. Make sure that observers and pistons are pointing in correct directions. The lower piston should be a normal piston, and the upper piston should be a sticky piston.
Once the flying machine is finished, you need a water bucket, some blocks to make a platform up in the sky, and also something to trade with the villager (any trade works). If it's unemployed, a job site block is also needed: stonecutter or cartography table are recommended as they are easy to get and guarantee buying emeralds on the lowest level. In that case, you obviously also need some emeralds.
Then get into the boat, move it on top of the machine and pour water next to it—below the level that the boat is on. This both serves as a landing pad and flushes the torch, activating your machine. Once the flying machine is activated, it flies upward, carrying you and the villager with it. It takes about 2 minutes to fly from sea level to build limit. Once the machine reaches the build limit, it automatically stops. Now, you have to be very careful: exit the boat and perform the trade. Once that's done, you will receive the achievement.
To get down safely, you can either activate the flying machine to make it go downward (place a block next to the top observer), or simply disassemble the flying machine, and fall down into the water you placed below.
Lead method
Alternatively, you can place a villager in a boat and attach a lead to the boat, and then tower up to Y=320. Once you're at the height limit, jump so that the villager is swung high enough for you to interact and trade with it.
Sound of Music
Make the Meadows come alive with the sound of music from a jukebox.
First, craft a jukebox:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Planks + Diamond |
Then, obtain any music disc. There are nineteen different discs. Twelve of them are dropped by creepers when killed by a skeleton or a stray, other seven can be found only as loot in certain generated structures:
- "Pigstep" can be found in bastion chests,
- "otherside" generates in chests in dungeons, strongholds and ancient cities,
- "5" can be crafted from disc fragments, found in chests in ancient cities,
- "Relic" can be brushed from suspicious gravel in trail ruins,
- "Precipice" can be ejected by vaults found in trial chambers,
- "Creator" can be ejected by ominous vaults found in trial chambers,
- "Creator (Music Box)" can be found in decorated pots in trial chambers.
After you get a music disc, find a meadow biome. Place your jukebox in the meadow and play your music disc in it by using the disc on the jukebox. You will then get the achievement.
Feels Like Home
Take a Strider for a loooong ride on a lava lake in the Overworld.
First, bring a strider to the Overworld. You can get the strider to follow you into a nether portal by holding a warped fungus, or ride it into a nether portal. The strider will be transported to the Overworld. Make sure that:
1) chunks on the Overworld side were loaded before.
2) there is no water or rain on the Overworld side, as the strider takes damage from them.
After the strider is in the Overworld, you need to ride it continuously on lava until you're 50 blocks from where you started. This can either be a big enough natural lava reservoir, or a 50+ blocks long track of lava source blocks you made yourself. It is recommended that in any of these cases, you should be underground or at least in a dry biome, because rain can kill striders very quickly, even mid-way through the ride. Also, because this achievement only accounts for horizontal displacement, going in a circle for more than 50 blocks doesn't count. If the strider walks off track, progress is reset, and you have to start from the beginning.
Once you're horizontally 50 blocks away from where you mounted the strider, you are granted the achievement.
It Spreads
Kill a mob next to a catalyst
First, you need a sculk catalyst. These spawn in deep dark biome, just like sculk sensors (see Sneak 100 below). However, no mobs (except for wardens) can spawn in this biome; some mobs spawned in nearby biomes may wander to the catalyst, but that creates a risk of attracting a warden. You can bring a bucket of fish to the catalyst and kill the fish; it should count. Alternatively you can pick up the catalyst and bring it somewhere else. To do that, you need to mine the catalyst with any tool that has Silk Touch enchantment.
Then, get out of deep dark and place the catalyst on the surface. You need to kill any mob (except the ender dragon) close to the catalyst: it might be a hostile monster like zombie, or a passive mob like sheep.
Once the mob dies, you will be granted the achievement, and some sculk will appear near the catalyst, replacing blocks in the ground.
Birthday Song
Have an Allay drop a cake at a noteblock
First, get two cakes and a note block. You can craft them like so:
| Name | Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Cake | Milk Bucket + Sugar + Egg + Wheat |
|
| Note Block | Any Planks + Redstone Dust |
Alternatively, cakes can be bought from some farmer villagers or found in trial chambers, and note blocks can be found in ancient cities.
Next, you must find an allay. They can only spawn in woodland mansion jail cells and pillager outpost cages; both of these structures are quite rare. Outposts are a bit more common, but mansions are recommended for finding allays for two reasons:
- not every outpost has allays, while most mansions spawns some;
- cartographer villager can sell a map pointing directly to a mansion, while there is no good method of finding outposts.
After you find an allay, get any two identical items. Give the allay one of them (use the allay with an item), and drop the other one on the ground. The allay will pick up the item on the ground and throw it to you, awarding you the achievement.
With Our Powers Combined!
Have all 3 froglights in your inventory
You need to have all 3 types of froglight in your inventory at the same time. Froglights drop from smallest magma cubes when they get eaten by frogs, and color of a froglight depends on the color of a frog that was used: verdant froglight comes from a green (cold) frog, ochre froglight comes from an orange (temperate) frog, and pearlescent froglight comes from a white (warm) frog.
To get the 3 different frogs, breed 2 frogs found in a mangrove swamp or a swamp using slimeballs. The frogs will make frogspawn. Wait 10 minutes before the tadpoles hatch, and collect 2 of them using water buckets.
Next step depends on which type of frog you found first. If you found an orange one, you now need a warm biome, like a desert. If you found a white one, go to a moderate biome, like plains. A complete list of biomes in all three categories can be found here.
Dig one block in the ground and place tadpole in the hole. Wait until it grows up. This takes 20 minutes, but the time can be sped up by feeding slimeballs to the tadpole. After time has passed, tadpole grows up into an adult frog: there is a chance that this happens in such a way that the frog will immediately start suffocating. To prevent such an event, you can use a 3×3×3 glass cube with tadpole inside (mobs do not suffocate in glass), like so:

When you have the second frog type, leash it. Repeat a similar procedure in a cold biome, like snowy plains: note that water freezes in these biomes, so you need to either encase it with the glass cage, or put a strong light source nearby.
Leash all the frog types and bring them using an elytra and a boat to the same Nether portal.
The exact method depends quite a lot on the world you got. If you spawn in a very rough Nether terrain and can't find any easy way to get to magma cubes, you can try a reverse approach: find a basalt delta first, as in this biome magma cubes spawn the most, build a portal there, and move the frog in the Overworld to that location. Let all frog eat small ones to get the froglights.
Once you have all 3 froglights in your inventory at once, you will be granted the achievement.
Sneak 100
Sneak next to a Sculk Sensor without triggering it
Sculk sensors, along with other sculk-related blocks, can be found in deep dark biomes, which generate deep underground under high mountain biomes. Simply sneak while being near one: this grants you the achievement and prevents the sensor from detecting you.
Be warned that deep dark is a very dangerous and scary place! If you want to know more about it, go to the "deep dark" page.
Planting the past
Plant any Sniffer seed
First two sniffer eggs on any Survival world must be brushed from suspicious sand in warm ocean ruins. Use this crafting recipe to craft a brush:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Feather + Copper Ingot + Stick |
Any suspicious sand block in a warm ocean ruin has 6.7% chance to contain a sniffer egg. Place the two eggs—preferably on a moss block, since it takes half the time to hatch on moss. The hatching area should be surrounded with a fence, and inside of it there should be some dirt or grass blocks for the sniffers to dig. After 20 minutes (10 minutes on moss), 2 baby sniffers will hatch. Now you need for it to grow up: this takes 40 minutes. The process can be sped up only with torchflower seeds, but since this are your first sniffers, you don't have those yet, so you have to wait.
Every 8 minutes, the adult sniffers start to dig in the ground: they have a 50% chance to dig up torchflower seeds and 50% to dig up pitcher pods. When they find those, either type of seed pops up from the ground. You can then collect it and plant on a farmland block, which will grant you the achievement.
Careful restoration
Make a Decorated Pot out of 4 Pottery Sherds
Craft a decorated pot using only pottery sherds: no bricks are allowed in this recipe. You can use any 4 pottery sherds, different or the same.
Sherds have a chance to be brushed from any naturally-generated suspicious sand or suspicious gravel, which are found in desert temples, desert wells, ocean ruins and trail ruins. The best places to look for sherds are probably desert temples, as they have 6-8 blocks of suspicious sand and, on average, 50% of them contain sherds. Alternatively, some decorated pots in trial chambers include a pottery sherd, which can be broken with a tool to retrieve the sherd. Use this crafting recipe to craft a decorated pot:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Any Pottery Sherd |
Once you pull a decorated pot out of the crafting table, you will be rewarded the achievement.
Smithing with style
Apply these smithing templates at least once: Spire, Snout, Rib, Ward, Silence, Vex, Tide, Wayfinder.
First, you need a smithing table. Smithing tables can be found in villages and trail ruins, or it can be crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot + Any Planks |
Next, you have to find eight specific armor trim smithing templates. Six of them can be obtained from chests in various structures, one comes from killing elder guardians, and one can be brushed from suspicious gravel.
| Smithing template | Obtained from | Chance | Tutorial |
|---|---|---|---|
| End city chest | 6.7% | Tutorial:Defeating an End city | |
| Bastion remnant chest | 8.3% | Tutorial:Defeating a bastion remnant | |
| Nether fortress chest | 6.7% | Tutorial:Defeating a Nether fortress | |
| Ancient city chest | 5% | Tutorial:Exploring an ancient city | |
| Ancient city chest | 1.2% | ||
| Woodland mansion generic chest | 50% | Tutorial:Defeating a woodland mansion | |
| Killing an elder guardian | 20% | Tutorial:Defeating an ocean monument | |
| Brushing suspicious gravel in trail ruins | 8.3% |
It is recommended to duplicate each of these before applying them on armor, as that uses up the template.
When you have all eight trims, apply one of each type to an armor piece in your smithing table. When the 8th one is applied, you will get the achievement.
Revaulting
Unlock an Ominous Vault with an Ominous Trial Key
The easiest way to find the trial chambers is to use a trial explorer map, bought from cartographer villagers at journeyman level, although this map is not a guaranteed trade. If you leveled up a cartographer to journeyman level and it doesn't sell the trial explorer map, you have to try again with a different villager.
Trial explorer maps usually lead to the nearest trial chambers. The structure is relatively common, and it generates underground, often entirely within the deepslate layer below Y=0. Dig down using a spiral staircase and water buckets to descend in caves. Also, bring an ominous bottle to get Trial Omen for the ominous trial.
Ominous trial keys are significantly harder to get than normal trial keys. They can be obtained exclusively by defeating an ominous trial spawner. A normal trial spawner becomes ominous when it sees a player with either Bad Omen or Trial Omen effects (Bad Omen transforms into Trial Omen when a spawner becomes ominous). Previous state of the trial spawner is irrelevant: it can be on cooldown, inert, or in the middle of spawning mobs, and it becomes ominous regardless.
Mobs spawned by ominous trial spawners are either stronger or more numerous than mobs spawned by normal spawners. Ominous trial spawners also spawn fire charges, splash and lingering potions, and tipped arrows, which make the fight a lot more chaotic than the fight with a normal spawner. These additional projectiles can hurt the player, but also hurt the mobs; and they can buff or debuff players and mobs.
When all mobs spawned by an ominous trial spawner are killed, it has a 30% chance to eject an ominous trial key as a reward. Once you get the key, use it on any ominous vault. Note that ominous trial keys open only ominous vaults, not the normal ones.
For more detailed information on defeating the trial chamber, see Tutorial:Defeating trial chambers
Crafters Crafting Crafters
Be near a Crafter when it crafts a Crafter.
Craft and place down a crafter. Then, place the materials to craft a crafter into the crafter (using the below recipe). The simplest way to get the crafter to craft the new crafter is to simply place a button on its side and press it, which should grant you the achievement.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot + Crafting Table + Redstone Dust + Dropper |
Who Needs Rockets?
Goal: Use a wind charge to launch yourself upward 8 blocks.
First, get a few wind charges. Wind charges can be crafted with breeze rods, which are dropped from breezes spawned in trial chambers.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Breeze Rod |
To launch yourself with a wind charge, point straight down and use the wind charge on the block you're standing on. You will be launched upward. With no extra movement, distance you travel up is around 6 blocks - this is not enough to get the achievement. To gain more height, you have to jump at the same time as using the wind charge: timing the jump correctly lets you move even 12 blocks upward. Also, make sure to not wear any heavy armor, since this will reduce your jump height.
Over-Overkill
Deal 50 hearts of damage in a single hit using the mace.
First, get a mace. A mace can be crafted with a breeze rod, dropped by a breeze, and a heavy core, ominous vault loot. Both need to be obtained in trial chambers.
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Heavy Core + Breeze Rod |
This achievement can be performed on any mob - even those that don't have 100 health overall. To deal 100 damage, you have to fall a minimum distance of:
| Level of Density | Distance (in blocks) |
|---|---|
| None | 47 |
| I | 32 |
| II | 24 |
| III | 19 |
| IV | 16 |
| V | 14 |
It's the best to use a large and passive mob (a player-built iron golem is a perfect candidate), preferably in a fenced area, which makes it easy to hit and doesn't risk retaliation if you miss or don't kill the mob in one hit. An iron golem has exactly 100 health, so if it dies in one hit, you will certainly get the achievement.
Hitting a fireball back at a ghast deals 1000 damage to the mob, but this method does not grant Over-Overkill.
Heart Transplanter
Place a Creaking Heart between two aligned Pale Oak Logs.
A creaking heart can either be collected from a pale oak tree using Silk Touch, or it can be crafted using Resin. For both options, you need to find a pale garden. This rare biome generates on plateaus in a dark forest, which are less rare and can be found using woodland explorer maps.
After finding the pale garden, wait until it is night and look for a creaking. Punch it (no tool needed), and particles leading to its heart appear. Some resin appears on the tree. Keep looking at the creaking so it will not attack you.
To craft a creaking heart, you need to collect nine resin clumps. Craft a block of resin with it using this recipe:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Resin Clump |
Collect two pale oak logs and craft a creaking heart using this recipe:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Pale Oak Log + Block of Resin |
You can also collect the creaking heart from the tree. Keep in mind that you need a Silk Touch axe to let it drop.
After getting the creaking heart, collect two more pale oak logs. Place a log, place the creaking heart on top of it, and place another log above. You will now get the achievement, the creaking heart will light up and a creaking will spawn. Destroy the creaking heart to kill the creaking.
Stay Hydrated!
Place a Dried Ghast block into water
There are a few methods of obtaining the dried ghast, and all of them require going into the Nether. First, dried ghasts naturally generate in soul sand valleys as part of nether fossils and have a 1⁄3 (~33.3%) chance of spawning next to one. Second, they can be obtained by bartering with piglins: they have just over 2% chance to drop a dried ghast in exchange for a gold ingot. Third, dried ghast can be crafted like so:
| Ingredients | Crafting recipe |
|---|---|
| Ghast Tear + Soul Sand |
After getting the dried ghast, go back to the Overworld and place the dried ghast in a water source block. This grants the achievement. For a happy ghast to spawn, you must wait another 20 minutes until the block is fully hydrated.
