13w47a
13w47a is the first snapshot for Java Edition 1.7.4, released on November 21, 2013.[1]

- MC-30537 – Flower duplication glitch.
- MC-31388 – Right clicking a flower pot that has certain plants in it while holding another plant replaces the one in the flower pot with the one the player is holding.
- MC-35643 – Items with enchantment effect cause blocks and potion effects indicator to not render.
- MC-35658 – Water is too transparent.
- MC-35797 – Background rendering issues when picking up enchanted items/caption of containers white.
- MC-36383 – Translucent parts of stained glass not visible in 3rd person mode.
- MC-36395 – Weird rendering of transparent blocks on the 0-axis.
- MC-36705 – Block held in 3rd person rendered incorrectly.
- MC-37106 – All the textures are flipped/mirrored on north/east sides of blocks.
13w47b
13w47b is the second snapshot for Java Edition 1.7.4, released on November 21, 2013,[5] which fixes a crash in the 13w47a snapshot.

13w47c
13w47c is the third snapshot for Java Edition 1.7.4, released on November 21, 2013.[6] No changes or bug fixes for this version were officially documented, but it reportedly fixed an issue involving OpenGL.[7][8]

- 13w47c was previously removed from the launcher for some time, but was added back in September 2018.
13w47d
13w47d is the fourth snapshot for Java Edition 1.7.4, released on November 22, 2013[9] to fix some of the bugs and crashes in the 13w47a, 13w47b and 13w47c snapshots.

- MC-40621 – Flowing water surface not visible seen from inside flowing water blocks.

- MC-40647 – OpenGL greater than 1.5 but can't stream.
- MC-40659 – Chest Texture flickers when looking at a dropped chest item.
- MC-40718 – Shift + CapsLock / Volume buttons on Keyboard cause Twitch API to crash.
13w48b
13w48b is the seventh snapshot for Java Edition 1.7.4, released on November 26, 2013[12] to fix some of the bugs and crashes in the 13w48a snapshot.

- Naming a sheep "jeb_" (with a name tag) makes the sheep's wool fade between the different dye colors in order (like a rainbow effect).

- MC-35897 – Damaged armor, tools & weapons placed in certain inventory slots cause other slots to go black.
- MC-36482 – Upon exiting (shift-click) minecart, the range and criteria is drastically off, up to 8 blocks away.

- MC-40947 – Opening Broadcast settings crash.
13w49a
13w49a is the eighth and final snapshot for Java Edition 1.7.4, released on December 5, 2013[13]. This is the final snapshot released in 2013.
Additions
Mobs
- Consist of a baby zombie riding a chicken.
- The zombie controls the chicken instead of using the chicken AI.
- Because the zombie is riding a chicken, it cannot take fall damage.
- Extremely rare to find.

- Changed from 512×512 to 256×256.
Music discs
All music discs are now stored in an indexed hash, rather than stored directly in the .minecraft folder.

1.7.3 (displayed as release 1.7.3 in the launcher) is the first pre-release for Java Edition 1.7.4,[14] released on December 6, 2013.[15]

- MC-5002 – Some texts cannot be translated in a language file.
- MC-11129 – Unicode font text shadow in fullscreen mode.
- MC-13046 – Certain supported characters glitch out, clearing out lines of text.
- MC-32322 – World loading screen uses wrong font.
- MC-33035 – Loading text in Polish (and other languages with Unicode font) isn't showing properly.
- MC-34573 – Font file of Unicode page C2 (Korean) shows character '숼'(U+C23C) at the position of '쉴'(U+C274).
- MC-41135 – Players become invisible and immune for PvP damage after being killed and relogging instead of respawning.

1.7.4 (pre-release)
Pre-release 1.7.4 is the second and final pre-release for Java Edition 1.7.4.[16][17] While the version number is identical to the full release, this pre-release version differs in code from the full release. This is the final pre-release released in 2013.
