This version is referred to only as "Minecraft Indev" in-game. The current title of this version is unofficial and has not been used by Mojang.
Please update the name if confirmed by reliable sources, such as in the launcher.
This version is currently lost.
 
While this release is known to exist, it has not been archived in the launcher or elsewhere, and is therefore considered lost.

A version of Minecraft Indev was released on February 7, 2010, at 10:57 UTC[1]. It was announced on TWoN at 10:58 UTC[2]

Changes

General

  • Glass is opaque to light coming through it.[3]
    • Rain no longer goes through glass.
  • Non-solid blocks get destroyed by water, although breaking them in this way causes nothing to drop.
  • Switched sound system to use OpenAL.
  • Non-full blocks when placed on farmland now turn it to dirt.

Music

  • Reimplemented music.
  • Is now ambient.
  • Starts playing in the spot the player was in and gets quieter when the player moves away from the spot.
