This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in Java Edition 1.1, which assumes at least some familiarity with the Adventure Update: Part II (Java Edition 1.0.x releases).

Mobs

Spawn egg Creative mode inventory only. Used to spawn a specified mob. There are 20 spawn eggs are available, one for each mob except the ender dragon, the giant and the snow golem.

Music disc
  • Music discs can now drop from creepers killed by skeletons.
  • The "Blocks", "Chirp", "Far", "Mall", "Mellohi", "Stal", "Strad", and "Ward" music discs are now legitimately obtainable. The "11" music disc remains unobtainable until 1.4.4.
