Beta 1.16.210.50 is the first beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on December 2, 2020,[1] which added new ambient sounds to the Nether, and fixes bugs.

Beta 1.16.210.51 is the second beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on December 9, 2020,[3] which changes the goats and powder snow behavior, and fixes bugs.

- Pouring water on Top Snow no longer creates snowballs.

Gameplay
- Mining a Crimson Hyphae with Silk Touch now returns a placeable block.
Mobs
- Fixed a bug where parrots could fly upwards indefinitely.
- Zombie villagers spawned from zombie spawners on Marketplace worlds that were created after version 1.11 now correctly spawn as V2 zombie villagers. When cured, they will now correctly turn into V2 villagers.
- Horses, Donkeys, Mules, Skeleton Horses, and Zombie Horses can now properly be given custom names, and identified using their respective "runtime_identifier".
Graphical
- Fixed an issue with maps rendering over transparent objects when attached to item frames in RTX worlds.
- Reduced ghosting of fish when viewed through the water with DLSS enabled.
beta 1.16.210.53
Beta 1.16.210.53 is the third beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on December 17, 2020,[4] which brought changes to powder snow, added full screen keyboard shortcut, and fixes bugs. This is the final beta released in 2020.

freezeDamage- Whether entities take damage from freezing inside of powder snow.

Leather armor
- Wearing any piece of leather armor now prevents freezing entirely.

- Added new slash command options for passing in a list of block states to set on the block being spawned.

- Using a bucket on powder snow creates a powder snow bucket.
- Powder snow buckets can be used to place powder snow.
Blocks
- Now emits particles when an entity is moving inside of it, or landing on it.
- Freezing effect is now removed from any mobs or players that catch fire.
- Mobs that have sunk into powder snow now can navigate through it.
- Entities on fire now have their fires extinguished when stepping into powder snow.
- Redstone dust, torches, and item frames can no longer be placed on powder snow.
- Gravity blocks no longer break when landing on powder snow.
- While within powder snow blocks third person camera is no longer pushed to the inside of the character's head.
- Mobs spawned inside Powder snow no longer have a risk of spawning underground.
- Powder snow block forms are no longer present in Creative Inventory anymore (MCPE-105407).
- Powder snow no longer stops projectiles in Bedrock (MCPE-104940).
- Lightweight mobs now can climb and navigate through powder snow blocks.
- Rabbits, silverfish, and endermites don't fall through powder snow blocks.
- An entity walking through powder snow will make the correct step sound regardless of which block is being walked on.
- Wearing Leather Boots now allows entities to climb powder snow Blocks (MCPE-105410).
- Powder snow now has unique interaction sounds.
Mobs
- Now avoids walking into powder snow while path-finding.
Fixes
Nether Ambient Sounds
- Mobile players now experience ambient sounds in The Nether (MCPE-74756).
General
- Shulker Boxes no longer lose their inventory when undyed in cauldrons (MCPE-108196).
- Added new logic for mobs dismounting rideables.
- This also introduces a more fine-grained entity height check allowing different dismount places for entities of different heights.
- The player will no longer dismount into liquids (lava or water) from rideables such as boats.
- Sign-in failures now have a more helpful error message and provide error codes.
Gameplay
- In all worlds created with the same seed, the same chest will now always generate the same content in the same order (MCPE-72432).
- Double Chests placed at chunk borders don't become partially invisible and don't crash the title when they are opened (MCPE-106030).
- Golden Apple and Enchanted Apple now have colored hotbar text when selecting them (MCPE-64427).

Marketplace
- Fixed upgrade path for
format_version1.13.0 boats to be properly upgraded to 1.16.100, which resolves a bug where boats in templated worlds with a version lower than 1.16.100 had no gravity (MCPE-104934).
Commands
- Documentation for Bedrock Server Commands has been updated to show the correct commands for permission reloading and listing (BDS-2341).
- Teleport command now correctly aligns the rotation with the destination entity (MCPE-35979).
- Selector argument options can again be seen and auto-completed correctly after specifying one (MCPE-59794).
- Spawn events now show as suggestions for the
/summoncommand (MCPE-101112). SendCommandFeedbackno longer prevents display of outgoing messages (MCPE-95217).- Multiple
/tickingarea addor/tickingarea removecommands performed during the same tick will no longer result in inaccurate messages about the number of ticking areas in use. - Players can no longer overrun the maximum number of standalone ticking areas in use by adding them all in the same tick.

Beta 1.16.210.55 is the fifth beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on January 13, 2021,[6] which fixes bugs.

Blocks
- Does not generate anywhere currently, is only available from the creative inventory.
- Can be placed on the floor or ceiling, creating stalagmites or stalactites respectively.
- Can be combined to form longer stalactites and stalagmites.
- Stalagmites break if not attached to something below, and hurt entities which fall on top of them.
- Enemies that fall on the stalagmites deal three times more fall damage
- Stalactites fall if unsupported, and hurt entities they fall on.
- A new redstone component.
- Detects vibrations, and emits a redstone signal.
- Will emit a different strength if connected to a comparator, and the signal strength is based on the vibration's frequency.
- Currently can only be obtained via the creative inventory or commands such as
/give.

- Fixed Pork Chop achievement and trophy being unlocked by raw porkchop (MCPE-95446)
- Fixed a bug where foxes wouldn't knock off and eat sweet berries (MCPE-70790)

- A boolean parameter called "ignore_game_mode" is added for the block event response "decrement_stack", set to false by default. Thus "decrement_stack" no longer decreases the item stack when playing in Creative by default.
beta 1.16.210.57
Beta 1.16.210.57 is the seventh beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on January 28, 2021,[9] which added the copper related features, and fixes bugs.[10]

- Can now put honeycomb to wax copper blocks.
- Now renamed as "Redstone Dust" to match Java Edition.

- Now drops copper ingots instead of gold ingots.

- Available under experimental gameplay.
- Generates randomly underground in small blobs, but this has been confirmed to be a placeholder.
- Has the same rarity as iron.
- Generating starts at the same minimum level(s) as iron.
- Can be smelted into a copper ingot.
- Can be randomly rotated.
- Available under experimental gameplay.
- Can be made into stair and slab variants.
- Oxidises and changes texture over time.
- Can be stopped from oxidizing by combining it with a honeycomb to create Waxed Cut Copper Block.
- Available under experimental gameplay.
- Oxidises and changes texture over time.
- Can be stopped from oxidizing by combining it with a honeycomb to create a Waxed Cut Copper Slab.
- Available under experimental gameplay.
- Oxidises and changes texture over time.

- Keyboard inputs can now adjust slider settings when the cursor is outside the UI frame.
- Screen Reader now informs the player when the "Chat Settings" menu has been opened.
- Fixed a bug where the UI screen reader did not read the permission toggles' titles on the Permissions Screen.
- Screen Reader now reads Whisper and Announcement messages.
Performance and Stability
- Improved the smoothness of UI transition animations for some devices (MCPE-41772).
- Improved performance for actors using TemptGoal.

- Fixed an issue that prevented player interaction after using the '/clone' command on a double chest block (MCPE-109119).
- Using the
/clonecommand to clone a block of the same type is no longer treated as a failed operation (MCPE-83352). - Fixed players taking fall damage when opening Shulker Boxes (MCPE-105490).
- Nether Brick now gives XP from being smelted (MCPE-100030).
- All mobs that use a melee attack have had their ability to hit targets above and below them restored.
- The target still must be within melee attack distance to be hit.
- This only affects world versions greater than or equal to 1.16.210.
Graphical and User Interface
- Tool and armor recipes now display the selected item background when selected in the recipe list
- Wireframe of a structure block in the Overworld will no longer render in Nether and The End (MCPE-75231)
- Audio sliders will now always highlight when hovered over with a mouse
- Durability bar is now visible when holding items with decreased durability in a window (MCPE-105893)
- Added more helpful Video Settings messages for ray tracing on supported and non-supported platforms.
- Structure blocks no longer auto-save the data when the structure name text box is deselected (MCPE-101055).
- The scoreboard data of an entity is no longer removed if the entity is being teleported to an unloaded area of the world.
- Teleporting away from a structure animation to unload it no longer causes the game to crash.

- A warning now appears when attempting to move a locked item in and from containers.

- Fixed a number of crashes that could occur during gameplay.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when opening the achievements screen when the anti-aliasing setting was set to 1 (MCPE-110164).

- Fixed ticks not affecting blocks changing states - this means that things like crops and saplings will once again grow correctly (MCPE-116221).
- Fixed the player being unable to interact with a tool in their inventory after breaking blocks with it in survival (MCPE-115341).
- Fixed dried kelp block bottom and carried textures so that rope pixels are aligned (MCPE-35476).
- Fixed an issue where snow accumulated in lines with certain simulation distances (MCPE-73468).
- TNT submerged in water will once again launch players in Survival mode.
- Fixed an issue where achievement names and descriptions would not be translated, independent of language selection. (MCPE-85813).
- The online status of cross-platform friends' shown on the invite screen will now update when a change has been detected (MCPE-70004).
- Fixed an issue that prevented achievement rewards from showing correctly after changing the language setting.
- Owned and purchasable skins no longer get mixed into different categories while offline.
- Emote title no longer shows previously previewed emote upon re-entering tab.

- On the "Dragons!" Marketplace map, behavior animation controller will no longer stop working after reloading the map with a saddled dragon.

- Fixed UVs of data-driven blocks to not be slightly shrunk, which caused texel warping.

beta 1.16.210.59
Beta 1.16.210.59 is the ninth beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on February 11, 2021,[12] which added glow squid behind the experimental toggle,[13] and fixes bugs.

- Can now be tinted with glow ink sacs to make the text glow.
- Glowing signs do not affect the light level, only appearing as if the text itself is illuminated.

- The screen reader now announces the names of the A/B Button Swap and X/Y Button Swap options correctly.
- Fixed an issue where the screen reader would intermittently fail to announce some button names.

- Fixed a number of crashes that could occur during gameplay.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when leaving a world.
- Fixed a crash that occasionally occurred on dedicated servers around villages (BDS-10666).
- Fixed a crashing issue related to corrupted biomes during world load for various Marketplace worlds.

- Fixed Skin Preview navigation when using a controller.

Cloud Storage (Xbox)
- Resolved an issue where, in certain cases, a world could not be properly synced to the cloud (Xbox only).
Technical
- Fixed an issue with animating structures when chunks were unloaded and the animation not continuing.
- Attachable items created in 1.16.2 and before will not render for their player in first person. Attachable items created after 1.16.2 will render for their player in first person unless they are armor.
- Custom blocks now can only drop default state when broken, even with Silk Touch.
- Fixed validation of 'render_offset' as string in component item JSON schema.
- The
/schedulecommand will once again execute from the entity it originated from if the area was already loaded.
beta 1.16.210.60
Beta 1.16.210.60 is the tenth beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on February 18, 2021,[14] which added the GameTest automation tool, removed glow squid related features, and fixes bugs.

New UI
- The new achievements screens are now enabled by default (except in VR, on PS4, or on touch devices with narration enabled).
Multiplayer
- The in-game invite screen will now refresh when you return to it from the add members screen.
Character Creator
- Fixed a bug where changes to the character creator are lost when application is out of context.
- Fixed a bug where tabbing out after changing to the "Character Creator" tab from "Classic Skins" tab will cause Classic Skin to be equipped instead of Character Creator persona.
- A new character is now created if no valid character exists when the dressing room is opened.
beta 1.16.210.61
Beta 1.16.210.61 is the eleventh and final beta version for Bedrock Edition 1.16.210, released on February 24, 2021,[15] which fixes minor bugs.
