v0.8.1 alpha is a minor update to Minecraft: Pocket Edition released on December 18, 2013 for Android and on December 19, 2013 for iOS. It fixes some of the bugs and crashes in v0.8.0 alpha. This is the final version released in 2013.
Changes
- Texture has been changed to Java's 1.6 texture.
- No longer take damage when burning in the daylight.

- MCPE-1682 – Falling sand / gravel disappears when falling on most "half" blocks
