1.16.221 is a hotfix to Bedrock Edition released on April 22, 2021, which fixes bugs.[1]

It is the last Bedrock version to be released for Fire TV devices, and also the last regular release to support Android 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4.

Fixes

  • Paintings are once again visible when placed (MCPE-121718).
  • Fixed some instances of the game not launching past the loading screen after updating on PS4 (MCPE-58897, MCPE-84790).
  • Fixed a softlock that occurred when trying to set friend permissions on a Realm on initial invite.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur during gameplay.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when loading behavior packs containing GameTests.
