Creeper Woods is the second mainland mission in Minecraft Dungeons. It is unlocked after the completion of Squid Coast, and completing Creeper Woods unlocks Pumpkin Pastures, Soggy Swamp, Redstone Mines, Cacti Canyon, Treetop Tangle, and Gauntlet of Gales. It contains the captured village merchant.
It always generates the Creeper Woods Crypt optional sub dungeon that contains a scroll which, if collected, unlocks the Creepy Crypt secret mission.
Appearance and description
| “ | CREEPER WOODS – Somewhere in the woods, a caravan is transporting Villager prisoners to labor in far-off lands. Your first quest is to find the caravan in this mob-infested maze and stop the Illagers, or there's no telling what dreadful fate will befall our Villager friends.

Creeper Woods is a wooded area set at night, and contains monoliths, hills, narrow bridges, rope-bridge walkways, and rivers. It is foggy, dim, and eerily illuminated by yellow fungi and pop flowers, with creepers walking about the forest.[1] It contains two supply chests, one in The Inn before the spider cave, and one at the Illager caravan. Piles of emerald urns can be found in Creeper Room, an optional sub dungeon found early on in the mission. A fancy chest can also be found inside Creeper Room upon surviving the ambush of creepers. Giant stone mob heads can be found in the lake at the start of the mission[2], with the enderman one that can spawn only in the Echoing Void DLC indicating that Deepwood Brook can be found to the north-east of the lake. Near the end of the mission, an illager caravan can be found that contains five captured villagers, as well as rudimentary jails made by the Illagers.[3] The area is patrolled by vindicators to deter villagers from escaping,[3] and these illagers attack the hero on sight. To the south-west in the caravan area, a tomb can be found with a button that, if activated, reveals the entrance door of Creeper Woods Rune Room[note 1]. When a villager is freed it bows in thanks and vanishes, and once all five villagers are released a graveyard can be accessed beyond the gate to the north-west. Further north, a wooden bridge suspended over lava must be crossed to reach a stone brick temple which, if entered, ends the mission.
