An undiscovered cave? That inviting purple glow… What adventures might lie beyond?

Minecraft Dungeons on X[1]

Nether Room or Nether Cave is an optional sub dungeon within Camp in Minecraft Dungeons. It becomes accessible after completing any mission on Default V or higher.

Appearance and description

The ranged weapon selection interface for configuring the Ancient Hunt mission.

Nether Room is a cave overgrown by a mixed set of growing bioluminescent nether foliage from Warped Forest and Crimson Forest. It contains an active nether portal used to access Ancient Hunt, as well as the piglin merchant after the completion of Ancient Hunt at least once. In the center of the room is an active Nether portal featuring a small cage with a magma cube trapped inside it. To the left of the portal, the piglin merchant is seen standing by some piles of basalt.

Within the nether portal interface, heroes must offer up a combination of a single melee weapon, ranged weapon, armor, and artifact that together create a rune combinations that attract ancients. Heroes can also choose to sacrifice up to nine enchantment points, increasing the spawn rate of ancient dungeons and decreasing the spawn rate of Gold Room. The average number of ancient dungeons is also increased when multiple unique ancients are attracted at once. For a list of equipment runes, see ancient offering. After confirming, the offered items are permanently lost alongside any optionally sacrificed enchantment points, and the Ancient Hunt mission is started.
