There are guides for this update!
See Java Edition guides/Fall Drop 2025 and Bedrock Edition guides/Fall Drop 2025 for a guide to all of the new features introduced in Fall Drop 2025.
The Fall Drop 2025[1] or Drop 3 2025[2] is an upcoming game drop with no set release date. It adds copper equipment, copper nuggets, copper chests, copper golems, and shelves. The contents of this drop are currently only available in preview versions of Bedrock Edition but they are planned to be added to Java Edition snapshots soon.
Additions
Blocks
- A new type of chest that has waxed and oxidized variants.
- It oxidizes over time and can be waxed like other copper blocks.
- Crafted using a chest and copper ingots.
- Can be spawned by placing a carved pumpkin or jack o'lantern on top of a block of copper and also spawning a copper golem on top.
- Can be interacted with by copper golems.
- Placing two will create a large copper chest, like the normal wooden variant.
- Obtained when a copper golem reaches full oxidation.
- Can be posed by right clicking. The poses are Standing (default), Running, Sitting, and Star.
- It oxidizes over time and can be waxed like other copper blocks.
- Using an axe on an unoxidized and unwaxed statue will turn it back into a living copper golem.
- A new storage block.
- Crafted using stripped logs.
- Can store 3 item stacks.
- When powered by redstone, its front texture changes.
- When powered by redstone, interacting with the block will swap the rightmost items in your hotbar with the contents of the shelf.
- It can be connected to other shelves to switch out more than just three hotbar slots.
Items
- Added copper helmet, copper chestplate, copper leggings and copper boots.
- Copper armor has higher durability than leather but less than iron. Copper armor's enchantability also sits slightly lower than iron's.
- Provides a total of 10 armor points.
- See also: Armor materials.
- Added copper axes, copper hoes, copper pickaxes, copper shovels, and copper swords.
- Copper tools and weapons are crafted and repaired using copper ingots. They do the same amount of damage as stone but have higher durability. Copper tools work faster than stone tools, but they are slower than their iron counterparts. Copper tools have higher enchantability than stone, but slightly less than iron.
- See also: Tiers.
- Copper equipment turns into copper nuggets when smelted.
- Nine copper nuggets can be turned into a copper ingot.
- A copper ingot can be crafted into nine copper nuggets.
- Spawns copper golems. Does not create a copper chest.
Mob
- Can be built with a copper block and carved pumpkin, creating a copper chest along with the golem.
- Drops between 1 and 3 copper ingots when killed.
- Automatically picks up items from copper chests and sort them into chests and trapped chests.
- The golem does this by taking an item out and carrying the item in its hand to a chest.
- It will only put the item in a chest that already has 1 or more of the item.
- Can pick up a max of 16 items in a stack at a time.
- Oxidizes just like copper blocks do, can be waxed, and loses oxidation when struck by lightning. It does not take damage from lightning.
- When it fully oxidizes, it becomes a copper golem statue and freezes in a random pose.
Changes
Items
- Updated all dye textures.
- This was done to support color blindness and general accessibility.
