1.21.03 (Windows) or 1.21.03.0 (iOS), the first release of the Cloud Update[1], is a major update to Minecraft Education, released on July 23, 2024.[2] It adds the ability to backup worlds to OneDrive, as well as introducing new features from the Bats and Pots, Armored Paws, and the Tricky Trials updates.

- Cloud World Backup - Upload
- Worlds are automatically uploaded to OneDrive upon world close as a backup.[3]
- Future preview updates will add the ability to download and open worlds from OneDrive.
- IT Admins will need to ensure that the following URLs are allowlisted through the network:
- "Recipe Unlocking" and Recipe Book search improvements when playing in Survival mode.
