A medicine is a type of potion that cures the specified effect instead of applying it.
Obtaining
Brewing
Cures are brewed from awkward potions using different elements. These drinks remove the specified effect when drank, and cannot be modified into splash, lingering, extended or enhanced versions.
| Potion | Reagent, base | Effect | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Antidote |
Cures Poison | Silver detects poison in folklore, and possesses anti-microbial properties. | |
Elixir |
Cures Weakness | In real life, cobalt is a component of cobalamin (vitamin B12). Cobalamin is involved in the production of red blood cells, and is used as a treatment for certain types of anemia. | |
Eye Drops |
Cures Blindness | Eye drops in real life should be dripped to the eyes instead of being drank. | |
Tonic |
Cures Nausea | In real life, bismuth subsalicylate is used to treat various stomach and gastrointestinal disturbances, including nausea |
Usage
Each type of medicine has an associated effect that it can cure (see § Brewing for details). Players can drink the medicine only if they have the corresponding effect. Drinking the medicine eliminates the effect. Although medicine does not resemble potions, the player still gets the glass bottle back.
