A Minecraft Movie Meal Stream with Grimace, Birdie & Hamburglar, also known as simply A Minecraft Movie Meal Stream, is a livestream broadcast as part of the McDonald's x A Minecraft Movie collaboration. The stream began on April 6th, 2025 and was split up into various segments, featuring the familiar cast of McDonald's and gameplay of the McDonald's Add-On.^[1][2]

Summary

Opening

Before the stream began, a "generating stream" graphic was shown, counting down to the premiere in the style of a loading screen. As the stream approached, I Feel Alive plays. Birdie appears on stream in her birdhouse, decorated with a tree covered in her action figure, posters of the collectible cards, and various other Minecraft decorations. She proceeds to introduce her friends, the "McDONALD'S FRIENDS," Grimace and the Hamburglar, who introduce themselves and then stand awkwardly still for many seconds without saying anything coherent, while Birdie spins in her chair.

Birdie then gets out of her chair, and begins to show it off, the chair being designed to resemble her. More silence follows, as she continues dancing around, walking over to grab a Happy Meal off a grass block. Grimace is amazed, and Hamburglar says something he finds funny. Eventually, Birdie sits back down, and compliments Grimace's house. Suddenly, her feed begins to glitch, her friends concerned as she merely says she's "gotta fly!" Her feed turns into an Earth Portal, before the stream itself goes out, replaced by a "BRB Gotta Fly!" screen.

The feed resumes to the image of Hamburglar and Grimace staring intently into the camera as it recovers. They continue to stare for several seconds, as Grimace picks the camera up, accidentally knocks it over, and struggles to pick it up before Hamburglar helps, and it falls over again. After laying down for several seconds they finally pick it back up, as it starts to glitch again, startling them. Another Earth Portal appears, before the error screen appears again, and suddenly Birdie appears alongside her friends.

As they all wave to the camera, they stare for a moderate while, as Hamburglar says "robble robble" a lot. Suddenly, they all rush ove to a pile of Happy Meals, opening them in a frenzy while I Feel Alive plays again. Excitedly, Birdie finds her figure, Hamburglar following.They sit down, showing off their newfound collectibles; Birdie gets a Grimace Egg, Hamburglar gets a Birdie figure, and Grimace gets a Zombie Hamburglar. They give each other their respective toys and show them off, before logging onto Minecraft.net to redeem their respective McDonald's skins.

Gameplay

After connecting to their Realm, Grimace is overjoyed to see himself in the game. He spawns inside of a dirt house with chests hanging from walls, decorated with items from the add-on. Confirming that he is Grimace, Grimace walks out a door and looks at the crudely made house, revealing splotches of cobblestone. Birdie is also playing, using several emotes to interact with Grimace, while Hamburglar does something in the background. As the two sneak and goof around, Birdie decides to open up the inventory and sees she can't craft anything, before Grimace gives her a pair of wings. She decides to fly around, and upon landing discovers Grimace also wearing her wings.

Grimace propels into the air, and lands near a sign labeled "MY SECRET STASH." Underneath the sign is a long hole, down into an area far enough to touch deepslate, where several golden boxes are found, as well as a painting of Grimace. As Grimace leaves, he is startled by a cow, while Hamburglar tries to put a Fry Helmet on Birdie. Grimace pulls out more dirt to try and replace the cover of his stash, however he has trouble placing. He resumes dancing around, impressing Hamburglar, before meeting back with Birdie, who tries to go inside of him. Suddenly, Grimace decides to use spawn eggs of himself.

As Grimace spawns many copies of himself, Birdie decides to swim in a nearby river, amazing Grimace. Upon resurfacing, Birdie finds Grimace flying, and emotes near some of the mobs. In the background, Hamburglar plays with toys, while Birdie goes back inside, amazed to see herself on the wall. Hamburglar eyes his own painting, which Birdie waves to, as well as Ronald's painting. Grimace flies up into the ceiling, surprised by the presence of glass, he and Birdie getting a good laugh. They run outside, giggling to themselves, before Birdie struggles to identify which is the real Grimace. From there, Grimace plays with a pig, Birdie also fascinated. Grimace decides to swim next, while Birdie returns to a pink bed.

The stream cuts back to the studio set, where the three heroes are sitting about on their chairs. Suddenly, Ronald McDonald himself reaches out over the desk and through the fourth wall, handing over a bag of Uber Eats. Inside, Hamburglar finds the Nether Flame Sauce, amazed by it. Standing up with the bag, they begin to dance to the sound of the Steve's Lava Chicken jingle. Birdie pulls up a picture of the sauce, while Grimace eats chicken mcnuggets, and Hamburglar tosses the sauce all over the place. He puts the sauce on Grimace's chicken, several times. Grimace notices that some of the sauce got spilled on his hand, before they show off sauced chicken.

The feed abruptly cuts to an image of Grimace on fire; another "we'll be right back" message.

When the stream resumes, Grimace and Birdie are once again playing, Birdie recognizing herself in something. They assess their inventory of various items, and pull out bread and steak to craft a Big Mac. In the background, Hamburglar marvels over a Big Mac Crystal figure. The two friends enjoy eating, before grabbing more chests and french fries. Birdie continually contemplates checking the search bar and repeatedly decides against looking up a recipe. From there they pull out a spatula and the grimace egg, Birdie crafting a painting of Grimace with a Grimace Shake. Seeing a painting of himself excels Grimace's happiness, one of them clipping into a painting of Ronald.

Back in the real world, the Hamburglar begins pushing Birdie's seat over before grabbing the controller from her. Now playing as Birdie, Hamburglar can't stop laughing while Birdie herself makes no effort to stop him. Instead, she begins dancing in the background, before Grimace says goodbye. They begin placing paintings on the outside of the house, creating a surreal sight. Grimace then drinks a Grimace Shake, as the Birthday Rap begins playing. However, Grimace then gets pushed out as well, bringing him great distress as Hamburglar completely takes over.

Hamburglar stands completely still in the game for a full minute at least, while his friends seemingly confront hm in the back. In spite of not having their controllers, Birdie and Grimace continue to play in the world, Birdie toying with several crafting options before eating a Big Mac. A Zombie Hamburglar is then spawned, and then another, targeting many Grimaces. Ultimately, the real Birdie and Grimace defeat Hamburglar, retaking their seats and scolding him without words. The house and lawn are now flooded with zombies, Grimace pulling out a spatula cowardly.

Next, Birdie pulls out a Birdie Chicken spawn egg, surprised to see the mob. She flies into the air, and stumbles upon a Grimace and Hamburglar fighting, and then another. Grimace then digs very down into the ground, apparently saddened, until he reaches a hole made of granite.In the background, Hamburglar is stacking boxes on his chair. They then go on the roof, spawning Birdies on the glass, before it's broken. After a few more seconds, they all clap, and seemingly decide to wrap things up.

Birdie informs Hamburglar that the comments of the stream want his chair, and then jokes that everyone will get it. They all then thank the audience for watching, waving goodbye many times. They then all get out of their chairs, and dance to Steve singing about chicken thrice over. Before the stream ends, Grimace twerks.

• The design of Grimace and Hamburglar's studio is based off a dirt hut featured in Enter the Minecraft Universe, down to several chiseled bookshelves being present and a painting of Ronald McDonald.
• The world used for the stream was known as "Grimace's World," while the accounts used were known as itssmegrimace and birdiesfly.
• The "secret stash" is a reference to a location in the film.
• Birdie remarking "you get a chair, and you get a chair!" is a reference to an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, where every audience member in attendance was gifted a car.^[3][4]
  • A similar reference was previously made in the Randy Peters Minecraft advertisements, albeit as a full parody and not an offhand nod.
