A glowing mushroom is a glowing variety of fungus in Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two. They grow in the mushroom fields that Fred's Keep is located.
Appearance
These mushrooms closely resemble those found above the Underneath. A cyan mushroom with white spots resembles the red mushroom. Another cyan mushroom, lacking white spots, resembles the brown mushroom. A third variety, dark blue in color, also resembles the brown mushroom.
These fungi occur in both small and large forms. Notably, there are no huge dark blue mushrooms. One of the huge mushrooms resembles the above-bedrock red mushroom, with a cap bearing white spots. Another variety looks like the huge brown mushroom in shape, but its cap also has white spots, unlike the brown mushroom it resembles.
Distribution and habitat
These mushrooms are found in the mushroom fields where Fred's Keep is located. The mushroom fields biome they grow in does not have dirt covered in thick mycelium, unlike other mushroom fields. The mushroom fields also contain small patches of tall grass. It is unknown if these varieties can be found above the bedrock.
Cultivation
There are small farmlands in Fred's Keep that grow these mushrooms. One of the areas is tended by Hilda. The white-spotted pale cyan mushrooms and dark blue mushrooms are grown on wet farmland.
