A Minecraft Movie

Earth

Chuggy Executives

Natalie reported to two executives while working at the Chuglass Potato Chips factory. As she was giving a presentation about the company’s social media accounts, Henry's jetpack quickly interrupted it. As its propulsion destroyed the factory's signature statue of Chuggy the Chip, the company mascot, she was promptly fired. They are portrayed by Alison Quigan and John Smythe respectively.[1]

Delivery Person

A delivery person working for the Chuglass Postal Service delivered an eviction notice to Game Over World, and appeared to lack much respect for Garrett, unamused by him assuming she came for autographs. She is portrayed by Yvette Parsons.

Henry's Mother

The mother of Henry and Natalie passed away for unstated reasons, leaving Natalie as Henry's parental guardian. Natalie interpreted her dying wish as desiring for them to move to Chuglass. She is established to have been a very good cook, with a signature tater tot recipe that her children use to remember her by. She is portrayed in a photograph by Amanda Billing.

HR Person

A Human Resources person is an employee of Chuglass High School. When Henry met Vice Principal Marlene on his day of school, the HR person stood besides Marlene's desk with his arms wrapped around a book, looking bored at hearing Marlene talk so much. Later, after Henry's JetPack destroyed Chuggy the Chip, the mascott of Chuglass Potato Chips, the HR person stood in Marlene's office with his arms crossed when Henry was brought in. The HR Person is portrayed by Mark Wright.

Kirsten Nicholls

Kirsten Nicholls is a staff writer for a Chuglass newspaper who wrote an article about the 1989 World Video Game Championship the following weekend. Years later, Garrett kept a clipping of it on his refrigerator.

Miner

Not to be confused with AMCM:Mine.

The miner was an elderly human portrayed by Craig Mckinney in A Minecraft Movie. He dons a blue shirt with blue overalls. He also wears a mining helmet, a brown belt, and has a long gray-white beard.

When Steve was a child, he regularly attempted to enter a mine, yearning to explore “by the call.” However, the miner stopped him, angrily chasing the boy away from the premises. When Steve grew up, he returned to the mine thirty years later,[2] only to find that the miner still guarded it. After a brief stand-off, the miner attempted to charge at him, but Steve dodged him and ran into the mines. In the present day, he is never seen or heard from again.

Secretary

The secretary of Chuglass High School assisted Vice Principal Marlene in her office. The day after Marlene and the nitwit's first date at a restaurant, the Secretary informed Marlene that her ex-husband, Clemente Gunchie, wanted to see her. When Marlene told the secretary that she has "nothing to say to him", Clemente barged in and pushed past the secretary to confront Marlene and the nitwit. The secretary is portrayed by Alex Tunui.

Trevor's Friend

A friend of Trevor assisted in bullying Henry, claiming that his father said math had "been debunked". Later, he sabotaged the demonstration of the jetpack by cutting a wire, resulting in the destruction of Chuggy the Chip. When Henry returned from the Overworld he was visibly shocked that the jetpack was actually working. He is portrayed by Frankie Creagh-Leslie.

World Video Game Championship

During the World Video Game Championship, several characters appear, including an arcade judge portrayed by Joel Rindelaub. Two gamers, credited as Gamers #1 and #2,[3] were present as contestants and played the video game Hunk City Rampage. Unlike Garrett, they played the game together as a tagteam, and ended up losing the contest. They are portrayed by Antony DeGreat (right) and Victor Kazaroho (left) respectively.[4]

Waiters

Several waiters were among the restaurant staff working during Marlene and the nitwit's first date. One of them, listed as Matty The Waitress in the credits,[1] was portrayed by Batanai Mashingaidze. Another was portrayed by Jens Bergensten in a subtle cameo appearance.

Nether

Archie

For the character in Minecraft Dungeons, see MCD:Arch-Illager.

Archie was a piglin brute who wielded a crossbow. Archie first appeared when Malgosha took Steve and Dennis captive. Later, Archie was one of the piglins who accompanied Malgosha when she met with Steve in the dungeon. During the attack on Midport Village, Archie shot an arrow between Natalie and Dawn to kill the desert villager next to the cartographer, by shooting it in the nose. Archie was last seen accompanying the Great Hog in the Redstone Mountains, where they would get caught up and killed in the explosion in Steve's creeper farm.

Bruce

Not to be confused with Piglin Brute.

Bruce was a piglin who once pulled Malgosha aside to demand that she gives up her dream of becoming a dancer and instead focus on gold mining. This occurred after Malgosha was mocked and harassed when she gave a passionate dance to the tune of Pigstep in the Nether's Got Talent craft fair. This incident lead her to turn on any semblance of creativity later in life. Years thereafter, Bruce fought in Malgosha’s army during the Great Darkening and later zombified along with the rest of the piglins. Bruce is voiced by Jemaine Clement.[1]

Piglin artist

Among the chaos and bleakness of a bastion in the Nether was a shy Piglin artist drawing. Malgosha saw this child and called them over, curious about what they were doing. When she saw that they drew a creative little illustration of a house, she liked it, but the drawing did not help with finding gold, so she callously murdered them with her knife, reducing the runt to a slab of meat. She then sarcastically yells "Whooops" before chucking the knife, with the slab of meat still attached, at the wall behind her.

Travis

Travis was a Piglin who appeared in the battle for the Overworld during the Great Darkening. After putting the Orb atop the portal and marching with the other piglins, he shot the Super Iron Golem with an arrow, which provoked the Iron Golems into attacking. He was subsequently punched into the air by the angered Super Iron Golem, presumably to his death.

Novel characters

Apprentices

Leo, Greta, and Miles were three ten-year-old children who paid $50 per hour[5] for Garrett Garrison's video game mentorship program. However, during the first session, all Garrett had them do was watch him play Hunk City Rampage. After Leo complained about this, Garrett claimed in a metaphor that they should be grateful with merely watching him play. After Greta pointed out that they gave him money to mentor them, Garrett gave her his first Hot Garbage Tip, which was that they can learn better simply by watching him silently. After Garrett ended the session and told the kids when the next one was, Miles refused and Greta told Garrett his program was terrible. All three kids laughed as they left the store "with no intention of coming back".[6]

Despite their scene being cut in the film, they are still subtly alluded to while Garrett is on the phone with Henry; he remarks that he doesn't give mentorships anymore.

Buddy Bot

While on the way to their new house in Chuglass with his sister Natalie, Henry drew a sketch of a robot. After unpacking a picture of his family in his bedroom and remembering his mother, Henry decided to build the robot from his sketch to allay his grief. Using red wires, batteries, and other materials, Henry constructed Buddy Bot to aid him and Natalie around the house. Buddy Bot had a coffee machine for a head and "foam pool noodles" for arms. A vacuum cleaner functioned as its base, which had hair dryers acting as engines. Unfortunately, when Buddy Bot tried to give Natalie coffee so she could relax, it malfunctioned and accidentally broke a pig pitcher that she was given by their mother.[7]
