Malgosha was a piglin sorceress and the main antagonist of A Minecraft Movie. She lived in the Nether while planning to conquer the Overworld and take its gold, creating the Great Hog as a weapon to achieve this. Malgosha stood strongly opposed to the idea of creativity expressed by Steve and some younger piglins. She is voiced by Rachel House.
Appearance
Malgosha is a haggard, hunchbacked, elderly piglin who wears a dark cloak that reaches down the length of her body, with a hood over her head. Her hands have slender fingers with dark-colored nails. Unlike the standard piglins, Malgosha's eyes seem to glow a bright purple, instead of yellow. She is also seen carrying a staff that can house the Orb of Dominance.
Personality
Malgosha is shown to be a cruel and merciless queen, concerned first and foremost with her selfish vendettas. Although not talking about it much, she harbors a vast greed for gold, threatening the Overworld in large part due to her belief in its riches. Through her reign, she proved bloodthirsty and vile, openly threatening to banish her subjects to the Overworld to zombify if they failed to sustain her greed.
Due to childhood trauma, she was also incredibly anti-art, demeaning any semblance of creativity or critical thinking. This manifests into a fatal aggression, such as when killing a piglin runt in cold blood for showing a drawing. As well, this extends to merely serving as inspiration, killing the model for Steve’s sculpture. When not physically antagonistic, she is also a manipulative liar, attempting to trick Steve into working for her by implying she killed Dennis. However, she does not appear to be an effective liar, Steve immediately calling the bluff and finding him alive without any grief.
In spite of her wicked demeanor, she doesn't appear to have fully matured, showing signs of a repressed girlhood and lingering soul. Upon obtaining the Orb, she cheerfully describes it as "makin' a really cool laser beam!" This appeared even at the end of her life, as she began zombifying and claimed to bargain with Steve, in truth attempting to stab him repeatedly while mocking one of his catchphrases.
Powers and abilities
Malgosha can use her staff to launch purple magic attacks that can quickly destroy diamond armor or instantly kill an unarmored target. She can also optionally use the staff as a melee weapon, empowering it with magic to make its physical strikes more lethal.
Malgosha carries multiple small daggers under her cloak which she uses to kill weaker foes quickly, such as when she swiftly killed a piglin runt with a dagger in one strike. She has some experience in mining, as seen when she was ordered to mine for gold by Bruce, and can thus be assumed to have some level of physical strength (albeit not using it much).
Like all piglins, she will zombify if exposed to an atmosphere without Nether wart spores present in the air or if she does not digest it beforehand.
Biography
As a young piglin, Malgosha participated in the semi-final of Nether's Got Talent, where she danced in front of a large crowd of piglins to the song "Pigstep". The crowd laughed at her for her performance, and she was later told personally by a piglin named Bruce that she should give up on her dreams and focus on acquiring gold. Malgosha denounced creativity from that day onwards, and spent the rest of her life longing to destroy it. As an older piglin, Malgosha became the leader of the piglins. She adopted the opinions of the piglins who previously mocked her, as she greatly disliked creativity and focused simply on gaining more power and gold.
After Steve and Dennis entered the Nether for the first time, she locked them in a dungeon and took the Orb of Dominance from them, which she then lost when Dennis stole it back.
Upon discovering that the Orb has returned to the Overworld, she orders Steve to retrieve the Orb and return it to her, threatening to kill Dennis if he refuses, brandishing Dennis’s collar as proof, despite having no knowledge of where he is. However, she then learns from her spy that Steve has betrayed her and is located in Midport Village. She orders General Chungus to lead his army there to retrieve the orb and kill Steve.
When she learns of Chungus's defeat, she commands that a brain be implanted into the Great Hog, her 'ultimate weapon', and sends him to kill Chungus. She then orders the Great Hog to locate the Orb and kill Steve.
As Steve, Henry, and Garrett leave the woodland mansion, Malgosha ambushes them accompanied by part of her army and a newly built Great Hog, replacing the one that was killed in the Redstone Mines. She manages to retrieve the Orb from Henry and leaves the fight scene.
She later places the Orb over a portal, triggering the Great Darkening, blocking out the sunlight and causing Nether wart to spread around the portal. During the battle between the gang and their iron golems against the Piglin army, she fights against Steve. After the gang manages to remove the Orb from the portal and end the Great Darkening, she weakens due to zombification. Malgosha makes three attempts to kill Steve with a secret dagger, one of them by mimicking his sneak attack, all of which he avoids due to her weakness. Steve leaves her to zombify due to the lack of Nether wart in the area.

Trivia
- Malgosha is very similar to the Seer from Minecraft Legends, due to her appearance and usage of the Orb of Dominance.
- In A Minecraft Movie: Add-on, Malgosha is depicted immune to zombification. However, she zombifies and dies in the movie.
- Her name comes from the Polish name Małgorzata, the diminutive form of which is Małgosia.[2] The Polish localization of the movie also uses the source form of the name.
