Matthew Christopher Miller, better known as Matthew Mercer, is an American voice actor best known for his work in animation and video games. Within the television industry, he has provided the English voices of characters Levi Ackerman from Attack on Titan, Jotaro Kujo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Hit from Dragon Ball Super, among others. In the gaming industry, he has voiced characters such as Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Chrom in Fire Emblem, Cassidy from Overwatch, Goro Majima in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Leon S. Kennedy from the Resident Evil series.
In the Minecraft franchise
In 2015, Mercer appeared as the voice of several characters within Minecraft: Story Mode, most notably the recurring antagonist Aiden.[1] The character initially appeared as a brief obstacle in the the Order of the Stone, before returning as the main antagonist Order Up! Among his other roles are the minor characters Otis, Schoolboy, TNT Dustin, the Old Farmer Man, and an unnamed griefer in Boom Town.
Trivia
- One of the characters he voices, Espio the Chameleon from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, would receive a Minecraft skin in the Sonic the Hedgehog map.
- He also voiced the character Ex in the game Puyo Puyo Tetris. An equivalent character would coincidentally appear in the Tetris map.
