A snareling is a hostile enderling that can be found within the Echoing Void DLC of Minecraft Dungeons.
Lore
There were many different subspecies of endermen that resided within the End, and it did not take the Heroes long to meet them. These subspecies were collectively known as enderlings. Snarelings were accounted as being especially dangerous enderlings due to their arachnid affiliation. Upon encountering a hero, they would not hesitate to attempt to catch them within their snareling goop. Once their prey was caught, they summoned their companions before immediately teleporting over to binge strike their prey. The Heroes eventually prevailed against them, making their way to the Broken Citadel, where they put a final end to the Orb of Dominance once and for all.[1]
Spawning
Behavior
Snarelings behave like an End counterpart to spiders. They have the lowest health of all enderlings, and their attacks do repeated damage. Snarelings have four behaviors:
Novelty
Snarelings stand on their long arms and swing their short legs back and forth.
Teleport
Snarelings can teleport away when the hero comes too close if they are not caught in one of their snares.
Ranged Goop Attack
Snarelings can shoot snareling goop across a distance to ensnare a target, sticking them in place for a few seconds and inflicting slowness upon them.
Melee attack
When a hero is trapped within snareling goop, all nearby snarelings will teleport around them and repeatedly attack them with their arms until the hero is dead or released from the snare.

Snareling goop is a cobweb-like[1] material that can be found within the Echoing Void DLC of Minecraft Dungeons.
Lore
Snareling goop is produced from the bright yellow sacks extending from the back of snarelings. When a snareling's chest opens up, snareling goop is flung through at their prey in order to entrap them.[1]

Trivia
- The eyes of snarelings were originally planned to be purple instead of lime, as shown by textures in the game files.
- Snarelings are referred to once in a Nintendo Switch News article as being affiliated with or compared to arachnids.[1]
- The affiliation can be deferred to how several of the snarelings sounds contains sounds from spiders, as well as its similar method of attacks and attack pattern.
