In-game description

Tiers

Tier Effect Cost
I +25% increased damage 1 Enchantment Point
II +35% increased damage 2 Enchantment Points
III +45% increased damage 3 Enchantment Points

Usage

Smiting increases the damage that is dealt to undead mobs. The damage boost increases by 10% with each tier, at the maximum tier the damage increase is +45%.

Undead enemies

Mobs that take extra damage from smiting include:

Stacking

Smiting is stackable, meaning it can appear in multiple enchantment slots on an item, although there are exceptions. If Smiting is the built-in unique enchantment of an item it will never be able to appear in the gilded slot or other enchantment slots by any means. If Smiting appears in the gilded slot of an item it will never appear in the other three enchantment slots, however by rerolling the item's enchantments using the enchantsmith, Smiting has the chance to appear even if it appears in the gilded slot.

When stacked it has a multiplicative effect, meaning each extra Smiting will have its undead mobs damage increase multiplied by the last.

Built-into

Smiting tier I is built-into the following weapons:
