In-game description

Sharpness is a melee weapon enchantment that can be found within the various melee weapons of Minecraft Dungeons.

Tiers

Tier Effect Cost
I +10% damage 1 enchantment point
II +21% damage 2 enchantment points
III +33% damage 3 enchantment points

Usage

Any melee weapon enchanted with Sharpness grants the hero increased damage and can be stacked for more damage consecutively. The damage increases by tier with the highest being 33% more damage applied.

Multiple instances of Sharpness on a weapon stack multiplicatively. Two instances of Sharpness III provide a total of 77% additional damage (a factor of 1.332), and four instances of Sharpness III provide a total of 212.9% additional damage.

Stacking

Sharpness is stackable, meaning it can appear in multiple enchantment slots on an item, although there are exceptions. If Sharpness is the built-in unique enchantment of an item it will never be able to appear in the gilded slot or other enchantment slots by any means. If Sharpness appears in the gilded slot of an item it will never appear in the other three enchantment slots, however by rerolling the item's enchantments using the enchantsmith, Sharpness has the chance to appear even if it appears in the gilded slot.

When stacked it has a multiplicative effect, meaning each extra Sharpness will have its damage increase multiplied by the last.

Built-into

Sharpness tier I is built-into the following weapons:

Mob

Enchanted mobs with the enchantment have increased melee damage.
