An ender pearl is a rare object that is capable of teleportation. One was once owned by Steve.
Appearance
Ender pearls in the film closely resemble the original item's sprite, being a dark turquoise orb with an aqua glow. While it appears to be spherical, due to the square properties of the Overworld, it is voxelated.
Properties
Ender pearls are obtained through the death of an enderman. When thrown, the ender pearl will shatter or dissipate, transporting the thrower to wherever it lands. This process is implied to be very painful or disorienting, as it completely terrifies Garrett Garrison upon use. It is also usable ammunition for the potato launcher, enhancing its teleportation capabilities, and being able to be used at a longer range than when thrown.
History
During their first visit to Steve's Secret Stash, Steve allowed Henry and Garrett to look around his vast collection. While looking around, Garrett found an ender pearl, and was unsure of what it was. Steve was more than happy to explain it to him, mentioning that it can achieve teleportation. Against Steve's warning, Garrett impulsively threw it against the door, terrifying himself and startling Henry, who has no idea what just happened. Steve proceeded to clarify that was the only one he owned, but took the waste in jest.
Later, the three worked together to infiltrate the Woodland Mansion, hoping to claim an Earth Crystal to return to Earth. Henry was tasked with retrieving the crystal, but was intercepted by an enderman in the safe room. Using an axe he found, he managed to defeat it, and the enderman dropped an ender pearl.
Soon after they escape the woodland mansion, the situation turned sour. This culminates in a near-apocalypse known as the Great Darkening, where the Orb of Dominance was put high above the Nether portal. In order to defeat the invading army of piglins, Henry and his sister Natalie worked together, up until they reached the nether portal. Using the ender pearl he'd claimed during the adventure in the mansion, Henry had the idea to shoot it out of his potato launcher, allowing him to teleport to the top of the portal and get up to the Orb of Dominance.
