Armor is a type of protective gear used by multiple characters, consisting of a helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.

Appearance

Armor is a suit made of a visible material, usually metal, but can also be made of diamond and leather. These sets are disproportionate to human wearers, however can still be used, with the helmets being noticeably smaller than the rest and yet still bigger than a human head. When made of metal, they are christened with bolts and chainmail, with visible knee pads. When made of a gemstone, it is very crudely carved.

Sets of iron and gold armor are shown to consist of four pieces, however a full set of diamond is claimed to lack diamond leggings by Steve. In spite of this, they are shown to exist in A Minecraft Movie Live Event. Armors can also be decorated in various ways, such as being color coded for games, or designed to mimic a Happy Meal.

Properties

The primary purpose of armor is defense, allowing the wielder to survive physical and mystical abuse. Gold armor appears the most common, being weld by the piglin army along with a material known as netherite. Being made of a rare material, diamond is presumed to be the rarest, and is saved by Steve for special occasions. However, it is far from invincible, consistently shown to be easily vulnerable to the might of the Orb of Dominance.

History

During an unknown point in time, Steve built himself a stash to display his items, including sets of iron, gold, and diamond armor.

During the final battle of the film, Steve wore diamond armor to fight Malgosha.
