William Emerson Arnett is a Canadian and American actor. He is best known for his roles in the TV series Arrested Development and BoJack Horseman, as well as voicing Batman in The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie.
In the Minecraft franchise
In 2017, Arnett was cast in MINECON Earth 2017, becoming the first person to host an annual streaming event for the franchise. He announced his own participation was announced on October 16,[1] with a formal reveal three days later.[2][3] Within the show, he performed opposite Lydia Winters, taking on the persona of a try-hard who is ignorant of the ways of Minecraft. According to the event's trailer, it was in an attempt to "get better than [his] kids." Over the course of the event, a miniature character arc unfolded where he slowly understood the game's culture, culminating in a dance number.
Despite insinuating he would return to host the next year, he never did.
