Questions about LibreOffice and the included applications (Writer, Calc, Impress, Base, Draw, Math). Unless the question is a general how-to, user should always tell which version of LibreOffice in use.

LibreOffice is the default office suite in Ubuntu and its official flavours. Some included applications such as Draw and Base may not be pre-installed in Ubuntu and its official flavours; user can install selective or all included applications from the Ubuntu package repositories.

LibreOffice included applications:

  • Word processor (Writer)
  • Spreadsheet creator (Calc)
  • Presentation editor (Impress)
  • Database manager (Base)
  • Diagramming and charting tool (Draw)
  • Equation editor (Math)

Citations in LibreOffice can be managed with plugins for the citation managers Mendeley and Zotero.
