Vote Update capes

This article documents an April Fools' Day joke.

 

This feature was exclusively part of a joke version and is not currently planned for addition to regular Minecraft.

These capes were released as a part of the Java Edition 23w13a_or_b April Fools update on April 1, 2023 and can be obtained through voting. These capes are exclusive to this version and are not assigned to any player's account. Unlike real capes, none of these capes override elytra textures.

The word "cape" is intentionally misspelled to "caep" in the game files and in the vote.

Awesom caep			This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to green.
Blonk caep			This cape is an edited Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over with red color. This cape cannot actually be obtained in-game, as voting for the "blonk" option simply repeals the cape rule.
No-Circle caep			This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to a cyan color matching Steve's shirt color. A circle-like shape is plastered on the cape with a red line barring across.
Nyan caep			This cape is a reference to the Nyan Cat music video.
Squid caep			This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to light blue.
Veterinarian caep			This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to light purple.
