The Migrator Cape or Veteran Cape is a cape that was given to players who migrated their Mojang accounts (used for Minecraft: Java Edition) to Microsoft accounts.

Obtaining

Players who bought Minecraft: Java Edition before December 1, 2020 got this cape when migrating their account.

The cape was first given out around July 9, 2021 and could be obtained until the end of the migration period on September 19, 2023.

• It is speculated that instead of the Migrator cape, players were originally planned to be given a "Veteran cape" for each year of owning the game, due to discovered text files that read, "And... a special Veteran Cape for each year you've played Java Edition!". Mojang has made no comments regarding this.^[7][8]
