The Realms MapMaker Cape is a cape given to certain contributors for making Minecraft Realms maps. The design is based on the logo for the Atlas submission portal, the web interface used by the mapmakers to upload their maps for review.
Obtaining
This cape is given to map makers in the Java Realms Content Creator Program who met the criteria listed here.
Map makers can earn points when maps they are listed as a primary creator for are accepted. Accepted maps need to be of high quality and may take months to approve. The amount of points granted varies based on the type of map:
- World templates: 2 points
- Inspiration maps: 3 points
- Minigames, experiences, and adventures: 4 points
For more information on these types of maps, visit the link to the criteria.
Players who earn 8 points become eligible for a cape. These are not automatically given out and may still take time to receive even after earning 8 points. Earning one is contingent on good standing with the community; asking about capes or spamming about submissions is noted as a sure way to become ineligible for a cape.
