A portal guard is a piglin that is part of the Horde of the Bastion of Minecraft Legends.

Appearance

Portal guards are large piglins with spicy mix-colored skin that is covered in sores. They wear taupe-colored skirts with interrupting gold accents at the top edge and a golden, snout-shaped buckle with an irregular rectangle on each side. They wear gold helmets with three black, long feathers along them, and an earring is pierced through their ears. Their white eyes turn red at night while they bear a pair of short tusks. Their right arm is replaced with a flail launcher made of mostly gold and accents of netherite. On their left arm, a gold plate is strapped with a black strip, and their hand is replaced with a horizontal netherite blade with a gold base.

Spawning

Portal Guards are exclusive to the Horde of the Bastion, and therefore they spawn near the nether portal of their piglin bases of higher level. They can also be encountered in Night Beacon base and during the invasions.

Defeating a portal guard

"Portal guards are incredibly tough and protective of their namesake. From a distance they're not much of a threat, but their punishing chain-mace arm is always ready to strike at close range."
