The Night Beacon is a Piglin Base that generates once per campaign that spawns with one layer of walls around the Nether Portal with blaze rod towers on the inner layer and piglin pits on the outside.

After choking The Beast and throwing him against a wall, The Great Hog summons The Seer to their map table. She calls out four piglin runts to bring her the core of a beacon, which she corrupts using the Orb of Dominance. The Great Hog is mesmerized by the magic she casts in the process. As a result, the core turns into that of a night beacon. The Seer orders the runts to carry the night beacon to the Overworld and place it inside a beacon container, with a runt falling inside in the process while finishing the beacon. As a result, the night beacon emits a purple beam that reaches the sun, corrupting it and causing eternal night. The Hosts assume that the piglins corrupted the ground as well as the sky, and the darkness of the sky renders the piglins even more aggressive. Fortunately, Foresight knows that the Hero is here for the rescue, and the allied units (creepers, skeletons and zombies) arrive to help the Hero.

After the Hero destroys the beacon, the full moon (which was also corrupted) is purified and quickly sets, allowing a newly pure sun to rise and subsequently make piglins overwhelmed by the morning light. The messenger piglin is startled by the event and tells the Great Hog about the newly shattered night beacon. Out of anger, the Great Hog and the all the generals batter the piglin.
