About the movie
A Minecraft Movie is an adventure comedy film based on the video game Minecraft directed by Jared Hess and written by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener, Gavin James, and Chris Galletta, based on a story by Allison Schroeder, Bowman, and Palmer. A Minecraft Movie has been released in London, England, on March 30, 2025, and was theatrically released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on April 4, 2025.
The movie follows a group of misfits who are pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld. They must embark on a quest to find their way home and protect the Overworld from a piglin invasion alongside legendary crafter Steve.
