A blaze runt is a ranged piglin unit common to all piglin hordes in Minecraft Legends. They are better trained in combat than mace runts and wield blaze rods as weapons.

Appearance

Horde of the Bastion

The blaze runts of the Horde of the Bastion are small piglins with white eyes that turn red at night and spicy mix-colored skin that is covered in sores. They are clothed in taupe-colored skirts. Each of their ears are decorated by an earring made of gold. They wield a blaze rod in their right hand.

Horde of the Hunt

The blaze runts of the Horde of the Hunt are small piglins with white eyes that turn red at night and strikemaster-colored skin that is covered in sores. They are clothed in jon-colored skirts decorated by two buttons made of bone. Each of their ears are decorated by an earring made of bone. They wield a blaze rod in their right hand.

Horde of the Spore

The blaze runts of the Horde of the Spore are small piglins with white eyes that turn red at night and silk-colored skin that is covered in sores. They are clothed in napa-colored bandages and wine berry-colored skirts. Their left ears are decorated by an earring made of what is presumably netherite. They are covered in warped fungi. They wield a blaze rod in their right hand.

Spawning

Blaze runts spawn in piglin bases and piglin outposts of every piglin horde. They are spawned by Nether Portals, piglin launchers, and piglin pits. Additionally, they spawn in groups during invasions and in every biome, with the exception of the Fatelands.

Drops

Blaze runts, on death, drop:

• 1-3 Lapis
• 1 Piglin Key

Behavior

Blaze runts idle around in the world until finding an enemy mob, enemy buildings or attacked by mobs. While idling they can be seen picking their ears with their blaze rods. During nighttime their eyes become red and will return to white once its daytime. Blaze runts throw blaze rods at their enemies to damage and set them on fire. If a blaze runt is on water, it will swim. If a blaze runt that participated in a village raid is stopped, they will run away from the village.

Attacks

Blaze runts have one attack type, a ranged attack in which they shoot a blaze rod which can set non-piglin mobs on fire which deal damage overtime.

Resistances and weaknesses

Blaze runts can be dealt more or less damage depending on the type of damage inflicted.
