Questions tagged [webkit]

Webkit is the browser rendering engine behind many modern browsers and web components.

Webkit is a rendering engine (web browser renderer) developed by Apple as a fork of KHTML. It is fast and clean, standards compliant, and rapidly updated. Webkit is used by Google's Chrome/ium, Midori, Epiphany, Maxthon (on windows), Liferea, and more. You can tag a question with Webkit if you have an issue that affects multiple Webkit based browsers or components (such as applications using Webkit-GTK) at the same time. Usually this will not be the case with Chrome as it does not use the Webkit version used by the rest of the system.
