Questions about installing or using Picasa in Ubuntu, or installing Picasa for Windows via Wine.
Picasa is an image manager and viewer developed by Google. Originally developed by Lifescape, Google acquired the company in 2004 and took over the project.
Picasa is available for Windows and Mac OSX. In 2006, Google released a version of Picasa for Linux, which is a Windows program with Wine instead of a native Linux program. Google discontinued Picasa for Linux on April 20, 2012, but users can still install Picasa on Ubuntu via Wine manually.
The Latest version of Picasa is v3.9 .
