Im a 16 year old and this question stuck in my mind. I cant find apt answer.
Imagine we tossed a coin, we have 50-50% chance to get heads or tails. We say its random but truly we can predict the outcome with the speed, spin speed etc. If outcome is Heads, its because when the coin falling, the heads will be on top and hence the heads came as outcome.
But Imagine anothor case, there is a silver polished beam splitter. That has probability of reflecting light and passing through is 50-50%. If a beam of light hits the mirror, almost 50% will reflect and 50% will pass throught it.
What if i shoot a single light particle, a photon to that mirror, it has 50% chance to reflect and 50% to pass through.
If i shoot a single photon, it reflect or pass through. My question is, who told the photon to reflect or pass through at that time?
If the photon reflected, who told or why the photon reflected at that time? It has an option to pass through also. But why it reflected at that time?
As per Copenhagen Interpretation, the photon is at a superposition state and if we measured, it take a spacific outcome. That reflect or pass through. If reflected, Why it reflected at that time? It have an option to pass also.
As per MWI (Many World Interpretation ), the photon reflect and pass through at multiple universe and as per Super determinism, the photon's reflection or passing is predetermined.
According to truly randomness, why that photon took a specified outcome at that time? It have also anothor option. Is there any reason behind this? Is it completely random and no reason behind?
I expect respectful comments and answers for it. If question not clarified, ask me to clarify. Thank you
