We recently adopted a guinea pig and in contrast to our rabbits, he's a smelly slob. We clean his cage every other day, yet he's still musty. He has a litter pan which he uses, but still occasionally decides to pee on the cage floor and then sleep…

Do I have to trim my guinea pigs' claws?

I have posted this question as advice for others. I used to have my guinea pigs' claws trimmed at the vets some years ago, but I have since found an easier way, and my youngest 'pig who is at least four years old has never needed his claws trimmed.

One of my two Guinea Pigs died a couple of days ago. I have heard from several sources that one pig on its own will suffer so I will get another. Should I do so immediately or wait a couple of weeks?

What are the arguments against neutering a guinea pig?

My cavy is interacting poorly with my rabbits and it seems to primarily be based around hormones. The shelter that I rescued my guinea pig doesn't fix their guinea pigs because they claim they are "too small". While this makes sense for me with…
