5th Gear slipping out when letting off gas pedal in Toyota Landcruiser HJ75 - 1990)

Whilst driving, when I take my foot off the accelerator in 5th gear, the stick/vehicle goes into neutral. It's doing this more and more. Any thoughts?

Reversed the battery terminals - What damage have I done?

I inter-switched my battery wires, positive to negative. Now the car moves but does not accelerate, even with the pedal to the floor. What damage have I done by reversing the battery terminals? The car is a 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser V8.
