After trying to to hardwire my dash camera, my car won't start in. When I key in, it is making sounds. Here is the video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Xvrn46VjuTGgizGv6

These are the fuses I tried to tap into.

Fuse Ampere Circuit
S/HTR&FAN 10A Seat heaters
S/ROOF 10A Moon roof

I tested battery with multimeter and it is showing 11v. So battery is not drained or dead.

I unplugged dash cam and everything is back to how it was. Still car won’t start.

Link to my car manual: link

EDIT: Car battery is actually showing 11.8v with multimeter.

UPDATE :

As everyone guessed, it was indeed a dead battery. Requested roadside assistance from Geico and jumpstart worked.

11 volt says your battery needs charging.

A good battery will keep 12 volt in standby mode.

Do a load test to find out

Turn on the lights and try to start.

Do the lights dim all the way. If yes it is drained and needs charging.

You should also evaluate why the battery is drained. With engine running measure the voltage on the battery. It should be at least 13 volt. or simply your battery is EOL (older than 5 years)

Actually, 11V is, as I understand it, basically "dead". A car battery is nominally 12V, normally a bit higher if fully charged. And a multimeter test is not even close to the kind of load that a car has when starting. And the video sure sounds like a dead battery. Been there...

Time for either charging up the battery or a jump start. If charging the battery works then you should be OK. If a jump start works then run the car for a while (30 minutes seems typical) and if it starts OK after then that then you should be OK.

If charging or jump start doesn't work or the battery doesn't hold a charge then it may be time for a new battery or it is possible you have a more serious problem.
