Well, I downloaded Ubuntu 13.10 and I want to install it alongside with Windows 7, but when restarted my PC with the DVD in and appears the installation menu, there's no dual boot installation option.

PS: I have installed (alongside with Windows 7) Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) and it also appears as normal program in Windows 7.

I don't understand why it doesn't recognize Windows 7.

I'm a noob.

There Will be not be option for dual boot in the installation menu but you have to install it first in a different partition or alongside(or where you want to give the mount point.)

After the complete installation when you would boot up again, you will get options in the gurb bootloader to choose between the windows and ubuntu.

If you get any problem attach a screen shot. Njoy ubuntu.
