I am green to Ubuntu, and Linux. I bought this USB wireless adapter because it is supposed to be plug and play. But I have plugged it into every USB port and cannot get it to show up when I run lsusb. But the keyboard, mouse, and webcam all work in all USB ports. The wireless adapter lights up when plugged into any USB port so it is getting power. Also I do not have a Wireless option in Network Settings.

I also ran the script from here that is supposed to help others help me diag this: (My wireless/WiFi connection does not work. What information is needed to diagnose the issue?) So here is that output:

########## wireless info START ##########
