Just as the title says I am getting very low speed if i download anything from my browser like 30-40Kbps but if i install something through my terminal it downloads almost instantly, Why so? For reference I get like 100-200Mbps

This depends are you on LTS (Noble, Jammy?). Have you tried upgrading all the packages locally

sudo apt update

sudo apt upgrade

Make sure you have latest version of the browser installed. Recommend using Chrome ( follow this How to install Google Chrome)

SpeedTest

Run Speed Test on CLI (How to check Internet Speed via Terminal?) Run a speed test from the browser ( https://www.speedtest.net/ )

Compare the diff (this should tell you if its a browser problem in the first place)

Restart your machine, and retry and see if the issue persists.

Notes:

  • If you are downloading from different servers, the servers speed may determine your download speed.
  • Make sure you have disabled any VPN usage on browsers (now some come preinstalled with that may cause download degradations)
  • Check your network connection and speedtest
