My Dell G15 5530 laptop, when using the kernel 6.8.0-52, crashes when I plug the charger. I found out that this can be solved by using an older kernel version, in my case, 6.5.0-45. But now, I have another problem. The Nvidia driver won't run on this kernel version. How can I run the Nvidia driver on kernel 6.5.0-45?

So, the problem got solved accidentally. I uninstalled the newest ubuntu generic kernel (6.8.0) since I wasn't going to use it. Then, I reinstalled all nvidia packages (drivers, libnvidia, kernel modules, etc) for the third time, thinking nothing would change, but somehow, now I can use the nvidia card when running on kernel 6.5.0 the same way I could with kernel 6.8.0.
Maybe deleting the newer driver solved the problem. No idea why.
