I'm using Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS and the automatic updates recently pushed a kernel update to 6.11.0-17.

> uname -srvmpi
Linux 6.11.0-17-generic #17~24.04.2-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon Jan 20 22:48:29 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64

I'm now having difficulty recompiling my snd_hda_macbookpro audio module. The module source can be found here. When running ./install.cirrus.driver.sh I get the following error:

> ./install.cirrus.driver.sh
Ubuntu linux kernel source not found in /usr/src: /usr/src/linux-source-6.11.0.tar.bz2
assuming the linux kernel source package is not installed
please install the linux kernel source package:
sudo apt install linux-source-6.11.0
NOTE - This does not work for HWE kernels

When I do as the error suggests and run sudo apt install linux-source-6.11.0 I get the following error:

> sudo apt install linux-source-6.11.0
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package linux-source-6.11.0
E: Couldn't find any package by glob 'linux-source-6.11.0'

Based on the fact that my kernel was updated, I'm guessing HWE is a factor here. How can I be sure? And is there a source package for the 6.11.0 HWE kernel? If so, how to I install it or where can I download it?

FWIW, I did find another post regarding this, but there were no satisfactory replies.
