There is this similar question, but it couldn't solve my problem: Logitech MX Master Thumb Button with Ubuntu

I used a Logitech MX Master 3 and, some time ago, I updated to Logitech MX Master 3S. When I used to use the version 3, I clicked with the thumb button and could use the scroll wheel to change the active window. It seems in that version the shortcut was hardcoded in the firmware.

With 3S I couldn't get the same effect. I tried using Solaar, xbindkeys, xautomation, logiops, but I was unable to find the exact script that does the same: click the mouse gesture button (aka "thumb button"), so send press down Super key, and when using the scroll sends Tab, to go forward in the windows, and Shift-Tab, to go back. After releasing the button stops sending Super.

I think I could use Solaar, but I don't know how to do it because each try I did I got problems like Super being pressed but never released.

My question is: what piece of configuration, preferably with Solaar, but also can be logiops or xbindkeys, can do the trick? I would like Solaar because I want to use on X11 and also Wayland.
