I am trying to acess an old VM thats running since at least 3 years in our working group without updates. I dont have the login so i tried to reset root-password in GRUB with this insturction: How do I reset a lost administrative password?. Worked fine to the point of changing the password. Using passwd: laborjournal (which is the user after root@) i get: passwd: user "laborjournal" ist nicht vorhanden (german for not known) Is this the right username, if not, how do I find out which username to use? I#m an absolute newbie so dont know which infos are needed. Runnig on Ubunto 22.04 LTS Thx and greetings
