Booting Ubuntu Studio 24.04 from live USB freezes and gives the error:

"Initramfs unpacking failed: invalid magic at the start of compressed archive"

Unlike other posts, this is not from an installed system, but trying to boot from a live USB.

The iso sha256 is OK, and booting from the stick on an Intel Nuc works fine, so the problem is not with the USB stick.

I finally solved it, the usb stick was not corrupted, the ISO-image was fine.

Instead of choosing "UEFI: Verbatim" from my BIOS, I chose "Verbatim" thus without UEFI and the machine nicely booted from my USB stick and I was able to install Ubuntu Studio 24.04 without any hickups.
