My Env:
Dell G5 Ubuntu 22.04 NVIDIA RTX2070 mobile
I've read many posts about this and tried most solutions.
A recap of what I did:
- Installed many drivers
- Tried auto install
- had this problem: ubuntu-drivers "UnboundLocalError: local variable 'version' referenced before assignment" when installing nvidia drivers but didn't want to change my python packages so avoided the solution in the thread
- tried to download nvidia&displaylink driver according to Ubuntu 22.04 External monitor not detected
That pretty much sums it up.
Would appreciate it if someone could help me get NVIDIA working properly (detection of a monitor and nvidia-smi working)
