I am faculty in mathematics at Northland Pioneer College in beautiful Navajo County, Arizona. NPC is, by geographical service area, the second largest community college in the lower 48 states—it is almost 300 miles and 5 hours of driving from our northernmost location to our southernmost location. We serve four sovereign nations: the US, the Navajo Nation, the Hopi Indian Reservation, and the Whitemountain Apache Tribe of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
In my current position, I teach a lot of introductory college algebra and first year calculus courses. I am active within ArizMATYC and am NPC's mathematics representative to the statewide Articulation Task Force. My research interestes—such as they are in light of my teaching and service loads—are related to fractal geometry and analysis on fractals.
