Hey so I'm writing a book and there is a gay 'couple'. One of them dies (well they both die but the backstory is after one death) and the backstory is like supposed to be a memory of how they met and how they became so close. I am a straight female who doesn't usually write or read romance at all and never been in love before, so I am super lost. I don't even know how to write a romance at all. This is a horror/teenage drama btw.
- Fred is a loner of sorts. He gets picked on by Diana profusely and is a bit of a 'nerd'. Fred has been like this his whole life and has always lived in this same town.
- Greg is Mexican and has moved for a better education. He comes to town for the first time and is on the outs because he is not very good at English (at this point). [not me regretting this choice because idk too much Spanish]. He makes one friend, Michelle but she has so much on, that he can't hang out with her a lot and she would prefer to be with her bestie, Diana. Sure, Greg does sport [haven't figured what yet but a team sport like Rugby or something] and gets along with Ethan, but he doesn't want to interfere with Ethan's training just to sit around and talk. So, at break, he was all alone. Until... he sees Fred.
How do I make them interact? How do I show that they love each other romantically, but keep it kinda platonic at the start yk?
