As a teenager working on my book, I've noticed that my characters frequently refer to names from another book. I’m wondering if this could be an issue of copyright. The book in question is Keeper of the Lost Cities. I would appreciate some guidance on this matter soon, as I intend to publish my work by the end of summer. Additionally, I've included a quote from that book exactly as it appears: "Happy Shadow Thoughts." I also want to know if anything worse than being sued could happen if it's copyright. This information would be very useful.
