Though I have managed to compose lyrical prose in the past, according to my own reading, I have no understanding of the way I achieved this, except to say that, in one instance, I practiced imitation. But I do not wish to depend only on this, but to master cadence by the use of scansion. However, I, presently, lack skill with scansion, not with respect to the scansion notation, but with respect to the creation of rhythm.
It was answered in some of my older questions, that ability with cadence comes from the knowledge of literature and music, and that the study of verse may benefit me in my goals. But my present knowledge has not bestowed this ability with scansion upon me, nor have I ever studied versification.
My question therefore is what is needed for the mastery of skill with cadence, by the use of scansion, which will further my ability to edit my prose. As far as I know, this has not been answered in any of the other questions, as it has not been told me the way I may study verse, or the way I may utilize scansion to master cadence, in verse or in prose.
